The Caspian Hare Posted September 7, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2017 Quote CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- (AP) SpaceX launched the Air Force's super-secret space shuttle on Thursday, a technology tester capable of spending years in orbit. The unmanned Falcon rocket blasted off from Florida's Kennedy Space Center, as schools and businesses boarded up for Hurricane Irma. It's the fifth flight for one of these crewless minishuttles, known as the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle. http://www.mynews13.com/content/news/cfnews13/news/article.html/content/news/articles/ap/2017/09/07/SpaceX_launches_Air_Force_s_super_secret_minishuttle.html
paperdyer Posted September 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2017 Let the speculation and paranoia begin. Let's start and say it's spying and taking pictures of North Korea. Other than that, a solar powered craft could be invaluable for long term space exploration. If they can get solar powered engines, "That's the ticket laddie!" It's also a remarkably daft way to deliver a nuclear weapon. 47 minutes ago, bigjonalien said: Wondering where is the other x37 is at? In the OPF-2 building at Kennedy SpaceCenter.
