That's why Herr Mueller is building his "obstruction" case.

Or Trump's behavior has been so obvious it qualifies as blatant....eye of the beholder I suppose.

Come on, I know that you have loyalty, and are self bound to defend this whole circus, but

The more intelligent among them have understood this for quite awhile.  That's why Herr Mueller is building his "obstruction" case.  Ultimately, the only one who will cause Trump to fall will be Trump.  He's the only one who can alienate his base sufficiently to make himself vulnerable to Republicans.

I'm wondering how many of his staunch Evangelical supporters will feel about him after the Stormy Daniels 60 Minutes interview on Sunday.

You still don't get it, do ya?  Even Evangelicals understand now that it's either Trump or some HRC-lite candidate that will finish what Oby started so well.  Dream on.  The idea that a bunch of hypocrites on the Left are coming unglued over an affair prior to him even running for office is so blatant that it makes me wonder just how stupid they're capable of being.  8 years of Obama woke a LOT of people up, Hank.  We won't be so easy to push, next time.  If you really, really want America to be what the Left wants... you best get ready to suffer for it because it will never be an easy win again.

IDK 2018 seems to be doing the dems pretty good thus far, even in your own home state

I'm curious myself. However, I very much doubt it will hurt him at all. I think they are just going to point back at the numerous Democrats who have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar, so to speak, and call it even. That seems to be what is done in today's political discussions.

Good to see you are at least sticking to your guns and not throwing your former candidate under the bus. Though I still think you are wrong. A Clinton is equally as dangerous as a former CIA chief. B)

My candidate? I hate Hillary.

@Farmer77 Think we should just put a disclaimer on our signatures or something? I mean that's tens of times now that we (and plenty of others on UM) have had to tell people that hating Trump is not the same as supporting Hillary.

DieChecker, how is she equally as dangerous as the ex leader of the most powerful clandestine organisation in the world? You guys actually believe, with zero proof or even any evidence, that she's an outright murderer. That is madness. You have - literally - been brainwashed.

With Mueller gone, the political will to keep the investigation-cum-witchhunt going evaporates like a f@rt in the wind.

Just watch.

Well if you guys would believe that 75% of Americans want Mueller gone, then apparently we do know more than you.

Do you believe Trump could have someone killed? If so, then why not Clinton? She's been at the very pinnacle of power. Within a few votes of being the most "powerful" human on Earth.

If the leader of a gang of 50 can have someone killed, it can't be too hard for a Clinton to arrange.

About the same a Clinton's staunch supporters felt about his sexual improprieties and frolics in the Oval Office. The Democrats will have all their defense rationale for Slick Willie thrown back in their faces. At this point in time, with the collusion chimera fading fast before their eyes, they're desperate to grasp at anything, but his "private life" isn't gong to be the silver bullet they're so desperately searching for.

Yeah, I agree with you on that score. The 75% that I saw came from a online poll of basically only republicans. Where they probably could vote over and over again, if they tried even a little.

What ever happened to the Liberal line, "What two consenting adults do together....."?

Oh, but they aren't going to say that is the issue. Rather some are saying that the payoff amounts to a Campaign Donation. An UNDECLARED donation!! Damnation Alive!!

I see their point, but it is pedantic to try to push that angle.

pedantic - Overly concerned with minute details or formalisms...

I think too many are mistaking mockery for outrage or political calculation.

I believe my ten year old niece could have someone killed.

Just because it is possible doesn't mean it happened.

No they're not. Mockery has always been politically calculated. They tried to set the stage with their pogrom against Sexual Harassers, only to find much to their dismay, that they've brought down more Democrats than Republicans. Their Hollywood bastion of liberalism is in shambles because of it. It's hard for the pot to call the kettle, black.

There is no pot here amigo. Trump ran courting Christians, Trump was the candidate Pat Robertson said was a good Christian who people should vote for and he is the man who his wretched spiritual advisor says was sent from gawd.

It is Trump's party and his voters who have declared themselves the moral majority all the press about his affairs is simply rubbing the evangelical Trump supporters noses in it There's no double standard , this is just showing the world the emperor has no clothes.

Well except the Stormy story, the campaign finance issue there is real and worth investigating as are the alleged physical threats

They don't care. They knew he wasn't an angel when they voted for him. I'm surrounded by his supporters, everyday I work in a rural county. It hasn't fazed their support for him one whit. He wages war against the people and the causes they hate and that's all that matters to them. Their animosity for Democrats is just as visceral and implacable as that of Democrats for Republicans. It's a very deep divide. No one is compromising or taking prisoners. He's all they've got.

I know the left vs right paradigm keeps them from acting on their religious convictions. That doesn't mean they don't know deep down that they are turning their backs on their religious beliefs, nor does it mean that we cant enjoy flaunting the fact that they are choosing to do so.

Like I said no political calculation involved, just mockery. Hell with all the very serious things to be concerned about regarding this administration the playmate, porn star and reality TV character really just  make for fun distractions.

I don't personally care that Trump has affairs or pays for sex, its awfully fun watching folks who are supposed to care about such things pretend they don't though.

Yes, just the same as it is for them to watch people who profess allegiance to truth to lie and propagandize. This all comes to them through the mass media whom they consider a wing of the Democratic political machine. Some will believe but not care, some will disbelieve and figure it just more anti Trump lies. They don't have to kill the messenger, in their eyes the messenger is already dead, just a hollow puppet, dancing on liberal strings. It doesn't help at all that the vast majority of the talking heads on their screens, everyday, are unabashedly Democrats. Why should they trust them?

Oh I know how that works, I was a Bush supporter, the thought patterns are pretty much the same. Denounce the liberal media for their bias and lack of patriotism all the while there's a growing thought gnawing in the back of your mind "what if there are no WMD's?"

Even if that in no way impacts Trump himself, come primary season who do you think they're going to choose the candidate who stands with Trump or the one who stands with their moral convictions (or at least claims to)?

Yet it is still fun to mock them all.

Well Trump himself has admitted to the affair with Stormy through his actions and I imagine its only a matter of time before he does the same for one or more of the other women who are making the same claims.

The core investigation is -- and always has been -- into Russian Interference, regardless of whether you think I'm word lawyering or otherwise.

Maybe Trey Gowdy will convince you: "Chris, if you look at the jurisdiction for Robert Mueller, first and foremost, what did Russia do to this country in 2016?"

President Donald Trump’s top White House lawyer, Don McGahn, is expected to step down later this year, though his resignation is contingent on the president finding a replacement and several other factors, according to four sources familiar with McGahn’s thinking.

McGahn, according to two of the sources, has signaled interest in returning to the Jones Day law firm where he previously worked and reprising a role he had during the 2016 campaign by handling legal matters for Trump’s re-election.

Hmm, $2.4 million a year is what he made as a lawyer.....  Forget this making/building stuff.  I should have been word twisting and law bending for money.
