First!!!... Seems like a fruitless endeavor to classify the earth when we have such limited perspective on the nature of life itself. It's like bacteria classifying other bacteria while being totally unaware of animals like ourselves

I think Nikolai Kardashev's classification is a lot simpler and easier to remember.

I find it difficult to get my head around being classified as being a 'hybrid' world when we don't have another world(s) to compare ours to that sustains similar / advanced / or less advanced life as we know it. Well at least not yet.

Even so, I still don't get the point of being put into this required category for meeting type 1 ?...
