This discovery around the hot-Jupiter planet WASP-19b exploited the power of the FORS2 instrument. It provides unique information about the chemical composition and the temperature and pressure structure of the atmosphere of this unusual and very hot world. paperdyer Posted September 14, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 14, 2017 Very interesting. Titanium Dioxide is fairly common on Earth. Most of it is manufactured for paints and coatings. The rutile crystal is typically used for paints and coatings as it's bluer and whiter than the anatase crystal. It's also a great UV absorber and used for sun block. Used in toothpaste as well. 1 Top
