Far warning, I never liked the whole “Doctor of War” or “the warrior” nonsense they added to the character under RTD or Moffat, but ... it adds such poignancy and weight to this scene. Any of the others could have said it, true, but it really does work with a post-War Doctor.

I know it's lousy quality, but I like this scene.

Its ironic that he gave this speech while dressed as Hitler/Nazi. But he did it to shock people to get their attention so they would hear his words. And if he were to do this today many would have accused him of being a Nazi and hater of Jews. In fact if I recall many did when this was shown in his day.

I would have to say the original A Nightmare on Elm Street. I was young and it was terrifying, yet funny, Freddy's sarcasm sold me on horror movies for the time and have been a big fan ever since!

I love Doctor Who. John Hurt (the war doctor) and the episode he is in with Smith and Tennant is just brilliant.

But my most favourite scene in the doctor is the farewell text from Matt Smith, still gives me the shivers.

Just brilliant this. The fact that most would think how to disarm those and he worry's how to arm the others. Just amazing.

This death scene is epic.

In his final moments, he finally saw the truth.

Dick Hallorann: Do you know how I knew your name was Doc? You know what I'm talking about, don't you? I can remember when I was a little boy. My grandmother and I could hold conversations entirely without ever opening our mouths. She called it "shining". And for a long time, I thought it was just the two of us that had the shine to us. Just like you probably thought you was the only one. But there are other folks, though mostly they don't know it, or don't believe it.
