Las Vegas Strip Shooting

I don `t really believe the motive for killing was of Poddock meds,  volume meds make a person calm. Maybe  ISIS``s people  threaten to killed his family, give them a lot of money and  to do this attack. Investigators to invest all the people  Poddock had a talked to.

it is a fertilizer, there are legit uses for it. there is no indication that he was building a bomb, gasoline is also bomb making material, we all have it in our cars. seems media is on crusade to demonize him. they already using his fathers old photo in articles.

Apparently it was not just fertilizer but the various catalysts need to make a bomb.

No one needs to attempt to "demonize" this guy...he murdered 58 innocent people in cold blood and wounded hundreds of others.

Anyone who believes that removing guns from ordinary, everyday, legal gun owners will reduce a criminal's access to guns really should check out the National Geographic Show Underworld Inc., specifically the episode titled Ghost Guns.

Here's the information on the episode...

To get away with a crime, criminals look for completely untraceable guns. Enter the “ghost” gun: an exact replica with a fake serial number and no ballistic record — a gun that is potentially invisible to law enforcement. Craftsmen in the Philippines specialize in making some of the highest quality ghost guns in the world. We follow clones of .45 automatics from a Filipino backyard workshop into the American black market. But ultimately even ghost guns leave a trail. Then they become “burners,” guns so hot no one wants them, except in another country, where the gun’s criminal history is difficult to trace. We follow the burners to Guatemala — a dumping ground for black-market guns — and into the hands of a 14-year-old hit man. A chilling investigation into the world of international criminality, this episode has unprecedented access to the underground world of manufacturers, sellers and gangsters — whose business and brutality all depend on the violent, illegal arms trade.

Unfortunately, the full episode is currently unavailable, but here's a clip from the show.

He also had a large quantity of Tannerite in his car.

the article only said fertilizer, ammonia nitrate, noting else. actually it does not need any catalysts, it is one.

no one saw him do it, so we can't be 100% sure it was him, yes he was found dead in that room with all the guns, this is not a proof he did it. i'd hold my judgement for now,

if no one needs to then why are they doing it,?

that is his father on the pic. they know it, so why are they using it? his own pic does not look crazy enough?

more articles using his father pic, they try really hard to  make you think they way they want to.

yes that too,  plenty of things that do not add up, and do not make sense, if pretty much all others mass shootings were not questionable,  this one is. big time. and the timing is perfect as well.

Ammonium nitrate is benign (not explosive in and of itself). Ammonium nitrate (aka fertilizer) needs to be mixed with certain hydrocarbons (fuel oil) in order to reach a gaseous state and thereby be capable of detonation.

Also, if the room was locked from the inside and the dead guy is the only one in there, that tells us something.

yea, a big IF, was it locked any more than just door  closed and key needed to get it?  that always happen in hotels, was the security guard (internal lock) flipped closed? we do not have that detail.

If one has a bunch of fertilizer, fuel oil, detonating devices then bomb making is certainly a reasonable suspicion. I don't recall anyone claiming proof, only that bomb making materials were present.

see, media's bomb materials, is fertilizer, and fuel. there is no evidence anywhere he was making bombs,  but having a large house, and a  garden, is legit reason to have fertilizer, and fuel oil for dozens of things, lawn mowers, weed wacker, blowers.......

Didn't they live in an adult condo community? They don't do their own lawns or any maintenance outside at all. It's contracted out and they are all kept pristine.

Tannerite is the brand name of a patented[1] exploding target used for firearms practice.

I'm aware. But in large quantities it can do some damage. Especially if loaded with projectiles and shrapnel.

no evidence it was used in any way. is there a link to an article, where they mention it? as far as amount, did he have large quantity?

depends on community.  lawns and gardens are different, some have gardening as a hobby, while lawns are taken care of by HOA, gardens are not. he was not into it, maybe his gf was. we do not know.

Now you're discussing the problems police have. You know someone is stockpiling things that can be used, but prove it. The guy would have gotten away with more if he had made it out of the hotel. Or not. You don't know until after the boom.

the police is not giving any details, nor they should for now, it is all media, it is not like they never lied before, they now use his father picture in articles. they already deliberately lie.

But that is one of the main reasons people move into these communities. They are getting older, downsizing and have a maintenance free exterior. Some do have tiny gardens. My brother-in-law had to start locking the gate to their little courtyard because the landscapers kept cutting down things he had planted. They are also very limited on what they can plant and the location. If it gets too cluttered it makes it difficult for them to maintain. They also don't like to rake up leaves from a lot of trees in the fall.

Maybe the aircon did not work and he needed some fresh air?

The amount of excuse for him you guys try to find is remarkable. Soon you will make a saint out of him.

true, however none of it proves he could not have one in his house.

cops searched his house, i'm sure they turned it upside down, they never mentioned any bombs suspected of being made there.

once more media uses his father's picture https://www.yahoo.com/gma/investigators-delve-deeper-las-vegas-shooting-chilling-details-154506519--abc-news-topstories.html

Good luck using a semi auto or full auto against a tank or a F/A-18 or the MOAB. This delusion that in the 21ist century normal citizens would be able to hold their own against the government and its military, is just that: a delusion. The 2nd Amendment was written at a time when guns could only fire at about 3 rounds per minute (if you were good) and the most advanced technology was rifling. The constitution was never meant to be a static document it was meant to change and evolve with our society.

I guess the Viet Cong and the Taliban should be told of this.  You just show your negative opinion of the abilities of Americans to carry out an insurgency.  You also seem to take for granted that a civil war wouldn't include whole units of the military, both regular and reserve.  The military ARE US...
