Worth repeating from a different news source...

WASHINGTON Marilou Danley, the woman investigators hoped would provide key details into the motive behind her boyfriend's deadly shooting attack, said she remembers him exhibiting symptoms such as lying in bed and moaning, according to two former FBI officials who have been briefed on the matter.

"She said he would lie in bed, just moaning and screaming, 'Oh, my God,'" one of the former officials said.

The other former official said Danley spoke about Paddock displaying "mental health symptoms."

Investigators believe Stephen Paddock, who claimed nearly 60 lives and injured hundreds more in Las Vegas on Sunday, may have been in physical or mental anguish, the sources said.

The picture that is emerging of Steven Paddock, who has been identified as the gunman in Sunday's mass shooting in Las Vegas, is of a man that some law enforcement officials increasingly believe had severe mental illness that was likely undiagnosed, sources tell ABC News.

The portrait, gleaned from interviews with hundreds of people interviewed over the past week, is that while Paddock might have been financially successful, he had real difficulty interacting with people. He is described as standoff-ish, disconnected, a man who had difficulty establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships.

Of course it's obvious, but this is in context to not finding any evidence of illicit hard drugs that turn normal people crazy, such as PCP, flakka, etc.

Acting crazy from powerful drugs versus being crazy from organic mental illness are 2 entirely different things.

For example:

- A "normal" person would not have done this.

- A person on PCP or flakka or similar might do this.

- A person with a brain tumor in certain locations of their brain might do this.

- A person with an extremely severe and undiagnosed/untreated mental illness might do this.

- An otherwise "normal" person with extreme ideological views might do this.

What gets me is why Poddock would want to plan and kill people. He `s rich and in no debt  and really likes going to the casinos. Mixing booze and drugs would just pass him out. I mean who in this world would wants to massacre people,  but war from the terrorists

See my above post for some possibilities (I'm no expert)

I was involved in metal health care for 18 years= trust me there's no such thing as a normal person....

Normal means anyone can suddenly lose their mind

Of course. I should have stated "A person who is normal AT THE TIME would not have done this.

That was my inference.

I did say a autopsy on his dead body,  a brain tumor or blood clots would have been found.

yes i know what you meant....whether on drugs or an organic mental illness; it seems pointless discussing this person's mental state 'after' the effect

What do you mean, that it is pointless to effort a determination as to his psyche which lead to his expression of mass murder?

Are you being serious, my friend?

It will assist medical professionals, psychiatric experts, neuroscientists, law enforcement behavior profiling, etc.

An image of a man that looks like Paddock, apparently accompanied by two others, is still under review and investigation. It is unclear if this image is of the gunman or if it will be meaningful.

Diabetes medicine doesn't stop all diabetics from succumbing to the disease... should those medicines be pulled?

Certain types of antipsychotics help many schizophrenics from "hearing voices", but doesn't help all. Should we pull those medicines as well?

Can you do me the honour of not posting quotes of other peoples words.. One of my pet hates, all due respect..

If you've got something to say to me/ make a point then say it in your own words.. I'd appreciate it, my friend;)

Peace.

Those you're referring to are known to have problems= that's why they're being treated.

If Paddock sought help in the past then what you say would mean something.. But he didn't, did he! No one knew did they until 'after' he murdered 58 people!

So your mild rant at me is illogical IMO....

Dude what do you think goes on in a forum like this? We post quotes and links constantly. Also, if it’s found that this guy was using a certain drug it would be extremely helpful to know if that drug can make some people homicidal. If you were in the mental health field for so long we’d expect better comments than that.

I will not. Part of authentication versus speculation is quoting and posting links.

And it REALLY helps others keep up on new findings.

Its a powerful tool that just because YOU don't like it means nothing to me.
