Las Vegas Strip Shooting

I had a similar thought man. At this point it would make more sense given what we know about this guy so far.

When I was listening to some of the radio communication, this came to mind.  The voice that said “Breach, breach, breach” seemed out of place.  And then the dispatcher requesting all units to back off, which would give someone else the time to slip into a uniform and swat gear and blend in.  Just hit me like something out of Ocean’s 11.

Gun sales/stocks are up.  Americans tend to buy more guns after a mass shooting.  http://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/2017/10/02/gun-stocks-higher-after-las-vegas-shooting.html

Obama did wonders for Gun Sales lol, but seriously in a country that already has millions of guns in circulation how can you even control weapons apart from forcibly.

Just brutal watching cell phone footage of people shielding their loved ones.

It's sad really, that this person can't take a moment out of his life to honor the victims before spouting off his political opinions.

Harris Faulkner, still such a hottie ...

But yeah, that Dem. wasn't giving an inch, no matter how ridiculous it was to start hunting for donations before the bodies were cold.

How nasty do you have to be to get a job like that, anyway?

I greatly appreciate everyone who understands this is the act of power hungry individuals feeding off the derision and not the entire democratic party, as it appears Fox news has reported it as.

Thank you for the intelligent input.

Yea the Breach guy’s voice sounded like it was filtered and I too had wondered why it would be though I wasn’t thinking of any of this when I heard it.

If this guy was framed somehow Hollywood couldn’t have done a better job with this story. What we are talking about sounds straight out of 24.

Speaking of feeding off the derision, did any one else catch Jimmy Kimmel alluding to gun owners being the problem?

"Let's not get political..."
*Proceeds to spend next 7 minutes spewing gun-restriction politics*

Last time, he used the hospitalization of his infant son to rant about how great Obama and Obamacare have been  Gross.
Automatic weapons have been banned since 1986, Jimmy. Good grief.

You can say what you want about his opinion, but you can't fault his actual, guttural reaction. This **** affects him, no matter what he thinks.

I’m not knocking his reaction, it is obviously heart-felt.  But, what he thinks does matter.  His ideology colors his reason.

Some people just want to watch the world burn, possible he was terminally ill, deff mentally ill, gun control aside, we should be looking at our collapsed mental health system, nevada is notorious for being the worse for mental health treatment

i do not buy it either, a multimillionaire, with no criminal or mental issues history, living good life, playing golf., no political or religious affiliations ,.  i do not buy it, possible that someone took over his room, kidnapped him, shot all those people then killed him, and framed him.  that i will believe a lot sooner than a guy like him, bringing 20+ weapons, planing it and pulling it thru, all for what???

I didn't really want to go here but it crossed my mind when dreaming up motives.  There are satanists who believe that when you kill people they become your slaves in hell and the more people you have killed the more power you wield on the other side.  It's a stupid theory but there are some stupid people that have bought into it.

Seriously, I understand guns have one purpose, kill, auto-weapons therefore are meant to kill more, SAW and military applications aside.

But gun control and the n.r.a. are being thrown under the bus, the real issue is the growing psychological issues of our particular country. We are a utopia empire in decline and that is breaking people's minds and spirits.

one of the weapons had bump fire stock, so it was not legal full auto rife.

This is actually the part of his planning that seemed pointless.  He chose the right place to give him a perfect field of fire.  He waited until the headline act when the most people would be there and he had to have understood that his time would be very limited before his hide would be breached.  Why bring so many extra weapons?  It just seems like an out of place precaution, unless maybe he was expecting some others over for the party?

edit to add:  I just did a little research into "bump-fire"  I recalled reading about it in a work of fiction but never followed up on it because it seemed useless as it was described.  I watched a video and now I believe this guy may well have used such a device instead of actually going through the contortions and expense of buying legal automatic weapons.  I'm amazed that such a device is legal!  My guess is the company that makes it will be out of business as soon as legislation can be passed.  The operating concept is simple enough that many knockoffs could be devised.

What a world.

What does that have to do with my post you quoted?

They also know where Paddock got all the guns from the gun dealers,  so he did it.  The investigators have to find out what his motive really was. :(

Yet they neither showed up nor ratted him out? Maybe he had loaded weapons set up all over the room thinking he could just blast away every cop as they breached the room. Who knows because apparently he killed himself when approached. This really is the craziest thing.

On another note, maybe not here but, people talking about how all his luggage should’ve set off red flags but I’ve been to Vegas a couple times and there is a nonstop flow of people coming in and out of casinos some with enormous stacks of luggage. Lots of luggage is not unusual there.

There’s another more important purpose.  It’s called deterrence and that is what the Founding Fathers had intended.

We’re not a utopia empire in decline but we are under a spell of a curse (if you’ve ever read “Oath of Empire”).  We have our best days ahead of us.  I just have a dreadful feeling that the cure to the curse will be very deadly before we realize our future.

Plus people roaming around with nothing to do with the "Hotel" part of the casino.  Gamblers to from casino to casino and visiters go in just to see stuff.  We went to the bellagio just to see the water and garden display.

If you have even been to a convention big bags of weird stuff is the norm.  A role-playing convention, like gama , has even weirder stuff moving in and out of the hotels.   A 1:18 scale circus maximus board is awesome but gets some looks in the lobby.

Plus vegas is a golf/leisure destination, which makes having a few guns actually normal.   Like you go shooting, they may have some nice outdoor range you want to go to.

A reported said Marilou Danley, the girlfriend went back to Philippine and before his killing, he sent her 100,000  dollars. So what was that for?

It looks like an incredible coincidence but I'd be inclined to chalk it up to the law of large numbers. Lots of people are killed all around the world , lots of people shout about everyone going to die. Sooner or later the two coincide. But we never mention the thousands of occasions when they don't. So it looks incredible on that one occasion.

I can't say for sure until I learn more about it. I've gone to many events (rock concerts, sporting events, state fairs, etc.), and I've never witnessed anybody who warned people that they would be hurt or killed. It just doesn't happen except in *very* rare circumstances. In fact, I've never experienced this in any facet of life. I had a couple run-ins with apparently schizophrenic people during my lifetime. They didn't threaten or warn me or anybody else like the mysterious woman at the Las Vegas concert, though. The Las Vegas warning is just *too* suspect to brush off like it's just one of those things that happens from time to time. One doesn't have to be a conspiracy theorist to think this.

Not only that, but this guy was somewhat of a high roller.  They wouldn't really bother him knowing who he was.

I hope and pray that they find his girlfriend. She might answer many questions. For example, she probably could shed light on the cash that was sent to the Philippines. Even insight, into his emotional state, could be very helpful.

I won't be surprised if she's the real perpetrator.
