Is the world we live in actually real or could we be living in a computer simulation ?

Naive Realism is the notion that we see and perceive reality as it is... this is not the case.

Husserl put it well... "all perception is based on gamble."

 

The human perceptual system is a process of gamble and projection hallucination.

The simulation as such, is run within our own cognitive and perceptual system and it is based on projective gambles... a complex, projective hallucination put together in the cognitive process based on the bits of information that arrive through the senses.

 

How you perceive reality is shaped by the filters of your family and society.  Once the age of 7-9 is reached, the tunnel is formed and from this point on, any dissonance in the way of perceptual information that contradicts the projected notions of the self tunnel will be disregarded, attacked or ignored, while those that support the notions of one's reality tunnel will be championed, and held aloft as examples of shining truth for all to clearly see.

 

We are fluid verbs, not static flowing nouns.  For all their apparent sturdiness, every single boulder and mountain is sand being released.

This would explain why the US has Trump as president - some stupid 12 year old kid is playing us like the Sims and thinks it's hilarious to put some random thick nutjob in charge to see what will happen.
