La Ciguapa.. would catch my attention and lure me into woods any time but with her "backward facing feet" unfortunately we would never meet,

It is a fun list.

I've not read about the elephant-snake thing before. Or the sickle limbed weasel. 

I thought all three of the Philippine Witch/Vampires were just variants of the Aswang.

Yeah, the Grootslang allegedly guards a cave filled with diamonds of the Richtersveld area in South Africa. There's a short Wiki article on it.
