Lilly Posted October 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2017 This part (from the first link) sounds very interesting: Chief Brian Dugan believes the killings are connected based on their close proximity and time frame. However, Dugan is refraining from labeling the unknown suspect as a serial killer. "Close proximity and time frame"...Could the people who were killed have seen or been involved in something illegal? Could there have been some type of gang initiation requiring new members kill a random person? Or, has someone just up and 'lost it' and is now killing due to extreme mental illness?

To be a soldier in some of the Crips or Bloods' sets in South Jersey you have to kill a certain number of people. I was thinkng gang initiation too.

+susieice Posted October 24, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted October 24, 2017 At first, it kind of reminded me of the DC sniper, without the car. Remember when they terrorized the DC, Virginia area shooting random people? Gang membership does make sense though.

The footage shows a "person of interest" running from one of three murder scenes. The three victims were shot and killed, just days apart. Police have been sifting through hours of surveillance footage after urging homeowners in this neighborhood with security cameras to turn over any video of suspicious activity, reports CBS News correspondent DeMarco Morgan. "We believe that this person has ties to this neighborhood," said Tampa police chief Brian Dugan. That "person of interest" is seen in a surveillance video running from the spot where Benjamin Mitchell was murdered. He was shot just seconds earlier. "I have come up with four reasons why this person is running. One, they may be late for dinner. Two, they're out exercising. Three, they heard gunshots. And number four, they just murdered Benjamin Mitchell," Dugan said. In another video before the murder, that same person is seen flipping a cell phone – an important clue for investigators. "The reason I focus in on the flip because that might be a habit of this person," Dugan said. Edited October 28, 2017 by pallidin

Howell Donaldson III was arrested at a McDonald's restaurant in Ybor City, based on a tip given to Tampa police, FOX 13 Tampa reported. He will face murder charges in connection with all four killings, Stephen Hegarty, the Tampa Police Department’s public safety information coordinator, told Fox News. Police believe Donaldson, 24, acted alone, Hegarty said.

The tip about the gun was "what we needed," said Tampa police chief Brian Dugan, the crucial clue that definitively linked the four slayings that have terrorized the city for weeks. Dugan said the weapon provided the probable cause to arrest 24-year-old Howell Emanuel Donaldson III and charge him early Wednesday with four counts of first-degree, pre-meditated murder.
pallidin Posted November 29, 2017 #24 Share Posted November 29, 2017 It seems as if, finally, this truly senseless series of murders has come to an end. May God bless the people's of Tampa and Seminole Heights... That you may now rest easy and go about your way in peace and not fear. Glad the killer is alive. Hopefully the authorities will find out exactly why he embarked on his murderous trek.
Farmer77 Posted December 6, 2017 #25 Share Posted December 6, 2017 Well here's a weird postscript Her sign language was gibberish at Florida serial killer news conference. It wasn't her first fraud. Quote A day after deaf advocacy groups criticized a sign language interpreter, saying her signing made no sense during a press conference announcing the arrest of an alleged Tampa serial killer, there's a new twist. But hey its Florida so weird is a relative term.
