The problem with the Coriolis effect and the Foucault pendulum is that the effect is mirrored about the equator. That means that something changes part way across the disk. That's hard to work out.

Do hurricanes cross the equator? Apparently not, but it is not impossible.

In fact, doesn't the Hollow Earth prove that the Earth is flat?   How else would you be able to go through a hole at the North Pole and emerge into a different world inhabited by enlightened beings and dinosaurs and Nazis, unless that world were the underside of a Flat Earth?

I'm only partly kidding here, because that is pretty much how the flat earthers think. 

If the World really was flat why would anyone try to suppress it ? I don't really get that.

Some of the excuses I have seen in the past

- Illuminati mind control

- Extract buckets of loot from the masses under the guise of the so-called "space programs".

- Keep the human cattle in their ignorant pens.

How any of that motivates  the conspirators is anyone's guess.

There is one school of thought that thinks much along those lines. According to this theory, there is indeed a giant dome over the earth and spaceflight is impossible because if it went beyond a certain height, it would hit the glass ceiling (literal, not metaphorical).

They made up something called "the law of perspective" to explain why objects like the sun disappear completely from the sky. Total BS obviously.

Has anyone thought that the explanation might be very simple? The earth is flat, and Australia is on the other side of it! It's quite simple really. Don't ask me how the water and the kangaroos and stuff* don't fall off, it's probably Gravity and stuff.

If the Earth is a flat round disc ,whats on the underside , or do we see tree roots dangling , I guess I'll have to start digging to find out .
