As well as down right lying about the existence of alien life else where in the universe and on our own planet and the moon.They will never release anything close to the truth because they have been harboring the lies for too long, and releasing anything factual will ruin their reputation as a trustworthy Agency. which ,these days is a moot subject anyhow. Just remember this ....They are a government funded agency. And, that alone should be enough of an  explanation.

I have used that example many times myself. The president held a press conference about it. That is hardly covering up.

I wonder what people like eddword and geraldnewfie thinks about SETI ? That is a private organisation and is thus not part of any government agency.

WTH?  How old are you?  The NASA 'acronym' thing is something a grade schooler would post.  As for the rest of your handwaves, here at UM we take a rather dim view of claims that are handwaved without a single example.

So, like gerald, you should now support those claims with direct examples or withdraw them.  If not, I'l l withdraw them on your behalf.

 

Frankly I'm sick to death of handwaved thread hijacks like this.  Post ONTOPIC and debate/discuss with evidence and support for your claims.

Frankly, I find that such ludicrous claims tend to withdraw themselves. Any reader/poster with even the most mediocre knowledge would recognize this. The good thing is that such posts are not as frequent as they used to be (some 10 years back), the sad thing is that they still appear.

Yawn. If you actually had some knowledge you would know that most research is actually not done by NASA, but by independent research institutions across the US and elsewhere. And the *will* publish their findings. You exhibit an extraordinary lack of knowledge of what you are rambling on about.

NASA are actually far more open and transparent than the vast majority of government agencies.   Accusing then of being inherently dishonest simply because they're a government agency is simply lazy thinking.  And the 'Never A Straight Answer' thing is only used by the laziest of UFO conspiracists.

Not only that, but often NASA does NOT actually even receive the data - they farm that out to the research institutions, sometimes even schools.  That vast majority of NASA incoming data is also able to be intercepted by anyone with a big enough antenna, including ham radio enthusiasts.
