where our solar system is in our galaxy?

Why didn't Jesus use his magic powers to escape or smite down all those holding and then executing him? Why not just turn himself invisible and walk through the walls? Surely an incarnate of god could do so...

Will,

There is no god.

He - and most of humanity - believes there to be.

Jesus was able to save Himself from the cross but chose to die on it. He knew that God had sent Him into the world to become the final sacrifice for our sins through His death for us.

Did you not learn about this - the very core of Christian beliefs - in your childhood?

You seem to imply that Jesus and God are different entities. Isn't one of the core beliefs of Christianity (Well most denominations) that Jesus was infact God in human form ? Have you heard of a little something called the trinity ?

Did you not learn of this in your childhood ?

Anyway this have nothing to do with the position of the Solar system in our Galaxy, I just thought it was funny that you berate someone of their lack of knowledge about christianity.

Back on topic. We are here: The Orion Spur. (Possibly a part of the Sagittarius Arm.)

Jesus isn't a Christian,  but he does foster Christianity, which is the religion of Paul.

He didn't die on the cross for Original Sin. He was murdered. But he still lives and now rules the Universe of his making outright in his own name.

The gospel of Jesus of Nazareth is that God is our Father and dwells within each of us before we're even aware of it. We are his sons and daughters and the business of the kingdom is "the doing of the Father's will."

That's all you need to believe and 'do' to recieve eternal life, nothing more.

God - as in God the Father - sent Jesus into the world to become the final sacrifice for our sins through His death for us.

We are the one to make the final sacrifice.

We need to sacrifice the sin of devotion to our will and begin to become like the Father through devotion to the business of "the doing of the Father's will" instead.

That's what Jesus did, and that's what we need to 'do' too.

And again you are polluting a non-religion thread with your preaching. You are a pain in the neck.

Actually it was Grimsituation6 who started it. Both the thread and the religious angle.

Anyway "He started it" is not a very grown up defence, is it ?

The sun orbits galactic center about every 230 million years. 115 million years ago, it was on the other side of the galaxy.
