they probably dont 'clock' rainbows in general.... however most rainbows are very short lived... so if there was a rainbow in the sky from morning to night....it will have been widely seen and reported

As a child my mom told me there was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow so on my pushbike I searched for the pot for hours lol.
