Still Waters Posted December 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2017 Undoubtedly, Star Trek is one of the most influential science fiction TV series in history. The first original episodes aired during the 1960’s; and since then, during a time span of six decades, the show incarnated in some other memorable series and films. That has been more than enough time for some lines and catchphrases used in Star Trek, which virtually have gain an iconic status. Even if you have not watched a single episode, the chances are that you already know a line or two. https://www.thevintagenews.com/2017/12/09/star-trek-lines/

BorizBadinov Posted December 9, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 9, 2017 I didn't get to watch the original airing, my dad wasn't a sci fi fan. It went into syndication almost immediately though and came on at 4pm. I had to ride a school bus home as we lived in the country and if I ran home I could make it at 4:30 and see the last half. Later years when I would watch an episode from the start it was exciting as I thought I was seeing a new episode, only to find out halfway through I had seen it probably 20 times.
