She borrowed a pair of what looked like eclipse glasses from someone nearby, then looked directly at the sun for 15 to 20 seconds. They weren’t the right glasses.” So she looked directly at it first for six seconds. Smart person. I wonder if the ones she borrowed were the the Gucci edition? “So far, it’s a nightmare, and sometimes it makes me very sad when I close my eyes and see it,” Payne told CNN. “It’s embarrassing. People will assume I was just one of those people who stared blankly at the sun or didn’t check the person with the glasses.” Well that’s pretty safe to assume as it’s exactly what she did, borrow the glasses without checking. We had a line of people looking with her set up. I've almost gone blind twice, for 2 different reasons. It's no fun. Lucky I can see without the black dead spots. Something this girl will never be able to do. In time her brain will "forget" the pattern is there and she'll only see it if she focuses on it.
