Space Commander Travis Posted January 14, 2018 #76 Share Posted January 14, 2018 It's difficult to know where to stand in this debate. If you think that Mayor Sadiq is an arrogant t!t of the highest order, which he is, that'd mean agreeing with Boris, who's a Tory twerp of the highest order. It's a dilemma, isn't it. 2 Top

Space Commander Travis Posted January 15, 2018 #79 Share Posted January 15, 2018 That is, actually, a worthwhile question; if the Donald was to decide to attack N. Korea or Iran, "just as a precaution", would Theresa May's regime back it as enthusiastically as Tony did George's very similar adventures? Would Boris be the first to stand up and salute and trot along to Washington and tell the Orange Leader, with his tongue hanging out and panting, because it would be so important to maintain good relations with our Best Friend? 3 Top

Have things really changed? Is the Donald unwillingly going along with the belligerence towards Iran and N. Korea at the instigation of the Global Elite? He seems enthusiastic enough about it if he is.

I think the Donald will do everything he can to avoid military conflict - and try to apply pressure in many ways - haven't north and south Korea been talking for the first time in heavens knows when - but the Enemy Media don't like that and do you know what --- I think they WANT Trump to go to war - perhaps we wouldn't back a NK or Iran war and wouldn't dive in - but I expect Teresa May would be criticised what ever she did - 2 Top

Space Commander Travis Posted January 15, 2018 #84 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Who knows, maybe you may be right, Maybe it was the Donald's unconventional style of diplomacy that led to the talks between N & S Korea and the agreement to send a representation to the Olympics. 2 Top

Without SOME sort of sanction from the UN, I doubt very much that the UK Parliament would want to get involved. As a practical matter, the UK doesn't currently have the capability to attack (or even support an attack) against North Korea or Iran. (that may change towards the end of 2018 as the Queen Elizabeth II finally completes its F-35 trials).

I see the point your making, but as part of a coalition we could take part. how did we get into Iraq and landlocked Afghanistan? As part of a Coalition based in South Korea. We'd be able to put 35,000 troops and equipment anywhere in the world and sustain it. Our Astute and Trafalgar Class Subs would provide strike capability in the form of TLAM, our specialist skills and assets of which we can be considered a world leader in ISTAR. RAF Typhoons based in S.Korea could take part. Type 45 Destroyers acting as Air Defence. Type 23 Frigates ASW. RFA replenishment ships supporting coalition partners with RAS, food, water, solid stores. etc... plus our Naval facility in Singapore. RAF Typhoons have been to South Korea to train along side S.Korea forces. HMS Sutherland left only last week for a deployment to the Asia Pacific to train with partners in the region South Korean Navy, Australian Navy, Japanese etc..HMS Trenchant done a 11 month deployment a few years ago, one of the longest deployments in the Navy. 335 days away; 267 spent east of Suez. HMS Triumph sailed 41,000 miles submerged to Australia in 1993. i think this was the record. without support.

It took a year and has been frustrating but we've settled down into just accepting their need for venting to the point that it's mostly just boring, now. He'll visit countries that are willing to show reasonable decorum and skip the rest but that doesn't mean that his voters will be offended at all the citizens of the UK or (insert European country). His presidency has been an awakening for many Americans on the Conservative side. I think that most of us were unaware of just how unstable the Left had become or how susceptible they were to the 24/7 drumbeat from the media. At times, it really begins to resemble a competition to see who can be the most shrill and nasty. The irony is that it's all driven by a desire to diminish his base and it's having the exact opposite effect. 3 Top
