acute Posted January 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2018 These tax return excuses reminded me of Jasper Carrott's insurance claims.

I'm sure there aren't many here who remember that but you get a nostalgia point from me.

acute Posted January 18, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 18, 2018 That Jasper Carrott clip is actually fairly recent, from a series where they 'resurrected' people you haven't seen for a while.
Hawken Posted January 18, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 18, 2018 The British government doesn't give it's citizens much time to file. Deadline Jan, 31. Here in the states we have till the middle of April.

I think what Hawkin is saying is that we can file between Jan until April, giving us nearly three months to prepare and submit last year's taxes. How long do you have?

That's true is you file in quarters as an investor or business. For us common folks "working for the man every night and day", we don't get our W2's and other related forms until the end of January. even then, they are sometimes late.

The company I work for used to mail out W2's. Now we have to go online to the company website and print them out.
+DieChecker Posted January 20, 2018 #11 Share Posted January 20, 2018 This pic is from Dr Who, right? So, maybe there was a Dr Who marathon going on and he forgot to get those taxes done. Seems like a legit reason to me...
