Is this the same intel groups that indicated that Saddam had WMDs?

Fourteen years ago?

My memory's a little hazy, but pretty sure the French didn't hop onboard that one. Freedom fries, and all.

They were in it up their eyeballs.  Chirac was making money off of Saddam and Chirac was using Saddam to counter Khomeini.  The US had other ideas.  It would have been bad having Iran and Iraq with nuclear weapons.  One Pakistan/India was enough.

Doing real estate deals in Russia is not grounds for a FISA search Tiggs.  If it was wed be surveilling a LOT more people.

I'm only aware of two FISA warrants so far. That doesn't sound like a lot to me.

Feeding intel to Steele.  Remember, your gal Hillary,m jer team and her campaign didn't even know about Steele working on the dossier because she paid Fusion GPS and they were handling it?   Well now we know that is a lie because her personal thugs were feeding  intel directly to Steele.

Walk me through why Steele would willingly gave the FBI a copy of Shearer's memo, with a note detailing exactly where it had been, if that were the case.

Still don't recall French Intelligence indicating that Saddam had weapons of Mass destruction.

Rachel L. Brand, the No. 3 official at the Justice Department, plans to step down after nine months on the job as the country’s top law enforcement agency has been under attack by President Trump, according to two people briefed on her decision.

Ms. Brand’s profile had risen in part because she is next in the line of succession behind the deputy attorney general, Rod J. Rosenstein, who is overseeing the special counsel’s inquiry into Russian influence in the 2016 election. Mr. Trump, who has called the investigation a witch hunt, has considered firing Mr. Rosenstein.

Such a move could have put her in charge of the special counsel and, by extension, left her in the cross hairs of the president.

The rats are starting to jump ship.  If they had anything on Trump, why leave when you’re about to score a big feather in your cap?

Where do you think Saddam got his nuclear assets from?  Does Tuwaitha ring a bell?

Not by name.

I'm slightly confused -- are we talking at cross purposes, and you're trying to prove that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction?

Here I was, thinking that your initial post was trying to disparage intelligence agencies who claimed Saddam had weapons of mass destruction.

We know you’re confused.  I’m just pointing out that it’s the same intel agencies involved with both incidents.  If you are of the mind that Saddam didn’t have a nuclear program, then how are you so sure that the Dossier is real?

This simply is not true. No, that's not quite strong enough. This is simply a lie.

I made an offer to Tiggs. I'll make the same offer to you. I'll send a big donation to the charity of your choice if evidence, that proves that Trump colluded with boogeymen to throw the election, leads to his impeachment and removal. This ongoing witch hunt is distracting the president from things that *are* important, and some folks, on your "team", certainly know this.

If you are of the mind he did, then why don't you believe them now?

Same reason, I expect.

Seemed like a pretty quick way to demonstrate that your paradox cuts both way, to me.

My reason is pretty simple: Intelligence is a raw tool, and like all raw tools it can be used for both good and evil.

As the Nunes Memo demonstrates, politicians can word-lawyer intelligence to get the political result they want.

I trust the intelligence community. The political appointees and politicians who use them -- not so much.

Your turn.

My mother always used to say that charity starts at home. I'll post you my address when the time comes.

Going by what Graham and Grassley, who have actually seen the secret information, say in their letter.  https://libertyunyielding.com/2018/02/05/grassley-graham-memo-steele-apparently-used-info-clinton-associate-dossier/

That the FBI accepts information directly from a character like Shearer and uses it just speaks more to the guilt of the particular parties involved.

If Russia hacked the Democratic National Convention and John Podesta's emails and posted them to Wikileaks, how did this help win the election for Trump?   How many people changed their minds, or made up their mind to vote for Trump because of the release of these emails? Are there any facts and figures? How can we know the release of the emails to Wikileaks from Russian Hackers stole the election? How did Russia throw this election? Anyone on UM vote for Trump based on the Russian email hacks? Anyone....?    Didn't think so.

https://gellerreport.com/2017/03/trump-vindicated-comey-says-no-evidence-russia-stole-election.html/

Fact is, the whole Russia-hacked-the-election mantra has been a false narrative from the start.

In fact, that possibility was never discussed, except by the most partisan of politicos — by people like Barack Obama and his fan base. The most the Russians ever hacked was into Democratic National Committee emails and documents, like ones of Clinton loyalists John Podesta, and it was those communications that showed the Democrats in a bad light.

GCHQ first became aware in late 2015 of suspicious “interactions” between figures connected to Trump and known or suspected Russian agents,

Suspicious interactions?  Figures connected to Trump?  Suspected Russian agents?  These have been the kinds of innuendo we have been fed for over a YEAR!  Could it be that due to the nature of Russia's Oligarchical/Mafia style government, a billionaire with diverse world business interests just might have members of his circle communicating with other billionaires trying to do deals?  Unsavory?  Almost certainly.  What's new?  My guess is, just another glib response...

I used to do.  The thing about all this that bothers me the most is that I absolutely KNOW that I can no longer depend on such agencies without concern.

I don't know if we've always had a shadow government or if the corruption only seeped in over a decade or so but when the DNI straight up lies to committees of the Congress, I'd say it's time to do some house-cleaning.

I was defending the requirements to get a FISA warrant, noting there's only been two issued, and not handed out like candy.

Truth is -- none of us know what the contents of those intelligence reports are, because they're not in the public domain yet.

Could also be that Trump's been laundering money for said Russian Mafia, and is compromised.

Happy to let Mueller work it all out.

Wait, so Steele gave a copy of Shearer's memo to the FBI?  I haven't read that.  My understanding was he provided a dossier to the FBI and was trafficing his garbage to Steele on another channel.  Either way you agree that the FBI was working with Shearer then?

Not sure if the FBI contacted Shearer directly. Do know that the G/G's "memo that Buzzfeed didn't get a copy of" that Steele gave to the FBI, was actually Shearer's dossier, with a covering note from Steele explaining where he'd got it from.

Wow, two Senior people in the FBI and Doj are leaving suddenly!    Number three at DoJ, Rachel Brand, is bugging out of the fight for a job at Wal-Mart .  Good luck with the embedded microchips in your future Wal-Mart employees, this si a real big brother beastie.  https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/09/us/politics/rachel-brand-justice-department.html?smid=tw-share

Leaving for "personal reasons" is David Laufman who was neck deep in FISA surveillance.  Adios Dave, get a good lawyer buddy, you'll need it you prick.  https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/justice-dept-official-who-helped-oversee-clinton-russia-probes-steps-down/2018/02/07/ab19f24e-0b69-11e8-8b0d-891602206fb7_story.html?utm_term=.adadc9cb0e21

Last up is Comey's best bud, Michael Kortan, head of FBI public affairs who has suddenly decided to retire...quickly.  Good decision bud, slip on a dress and grab that last lifeboat because the ship is going down. and the ice berg was named FISA abuse.    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/02/08/another-longtime-comey-aide-leaving-fbi.html

So Steele WAS in direct contact with Shearer according to you?  That was my initial point that you argued about so just trying to understand where you stand now.  Honestly, there is so much we all don't know that there is no right and wrong with some of this stuff, it will take time.
