Weird noise at night

Hi. This may seem weird. So I took some melatonin to try to sleep for work the next day. I was feeling very hot and couldn't fall asleep and all of a sudden I hear my Xbox turn on (the sound it makes when it says XBOX on the tv) so I ran out and everything was turned off. It really freaked me out because I heard it clear as day. Any suggestions to what it was?

It could've been a auditory hallucination caused by your sleep deprived brain. Not all that unusual.

I agree with xeno. Heard someone unlock the car (which is close to the bedroom window). Ran to check. NOTHING WRONG. Sat up for 45 min convinced I heard it. Was just my tired brain and subconscious that is always worried about the car being stolen....

I agree with the other posters but another thing to consider is a malfunction with the console itself. I would see if there are other people reporting consoles turning on and off by themselves.

I used to hear a lot of weird noises at night when I was alone in the house. It always sounded like someone was in the kitchen opening cabinets and drawers. Sometimes I would hear my name, as well.

Then I had a guest stay over in the spare bedroom and I hadn't told him anything about it.

The next day he's like...you have a ghost. And he told me that he heard someone call his name, and then he heard someone in the kitchen opening cupboards and drawers. He went out to see if it was me, and no one was there.

I was still in bed.
