To a race of highly intelligent beings, thousands- maybe a million years more advanced than us== they might class light travel as prehistoric for all we know.

The thing is we don't know- that's why places like this exist

There are many odd reasons given for alien abductions but this one takes the cake.

In another thread it has been stated that "Transgender was always intended to usher in unnatural humans." and "Transhumans are bad."

Without explicitly stating that transgender is bad, it leaves the reader to make such a connection, which they do not make.

This encouraged me to look up religious statements on abductions.

So there are some people claiming that the aliens need blood transfusions. They get it from people. That's the reasons for what appears to be archaic probing.

Why don't you point out the specifics of what is "far from complete".

How can they "probe Farmer John for genetic material" when they might not use DNA? If they do ue DNA why would it be similar to ours? They would be as different to us as we are from plants or sponges.

What if we (the Earth) is under a strict quarantine style system to preserve us so as to not mess with out advancement, maybe life getting to our point is extremely rare. These abductions could be akin to Ivory poachers sneaking onto the reserves for some highly illegal, rare and exotic goods in the form of biological samples from one of the only advanced species in the known universe. If humans really did become interstellar then imagine how many groups would splinter off and go their own way, I don't see any reason why it would be different for another advanced species; some trying to preserve and isolate us for study, some trying to raid, pillage and profit.

As you may know, science is constantly updating to provide the newest paradigms to work from. The history of science is replete with older beliefs that were overthrown as science updated its understanding. In other words, with humility, we can admit that our knowledge is far from complete. Through the years many beliefs that were thought to be “fringie” were later found to be true-- by those who kept open minds and continued seeking the truth.

The mainstream media, TV networks, entertainment studios, and other means that people use to gain knowledge have, over the past decades, come under ownership of fewer and fewer people, extremely wealthy people who now control most means of public communication. Whistleblowers like Julian Assange of Wikileaks, and Edward Snowden have blown the whistle on how these wealthy people have censored the news we are receiving, showing there are many dark secrets that are being hidden from public awareness.
