ArgfromTowie Posted February 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2018 So I was watching YouTube last night and they were talking about the mandela effect where people thought he died in the 1980s when in reality he died in 2013 so just wondering whether anyone here has had a false memory before? +DieChecker Posted February 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2018 I've had a couple times where I was with my twin brother and we COMPLETELY remember the same event totally differently. I think we do forget a lot and then when we try to remember purposefully, we fill in details based on other memories.

It never happened, but seemed like it did. Must've invented it somehow...
Black Monk Posted February 24, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2018 I've read lots of cases of this. A common one is people who remember New Zealand being to the west of Australia. It's weird. Maybe they all come from a parallel universe and have accidentally ended up in ours without realising it.
