Brandy333 Posted February 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2018 http://www.prairieghosts.com/washita.html This is an abandoned fort in S. Oklahoma. I used to live near there, and even though I've never been there for the Civil War re-enactments they hold every year, I always get a creepy feeling when traveling the highway that passes it. The fort is open several days a week for visitors, but doubt I'll ever go.

papageorge1 Posted February 24, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2018 It practically seems like just about every very old fort/inn/prison/psychiatric hospital/battlefield/etcetera is haunted after following this stuff for years. I'm beginning to think it is almost to be expected in places where a long history of emotional events have occurred.
+Not A Rockstar Posted February 25, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2018 I just like the pictures and history, tbh, of these old forts. The Citadel in Nova Scotia was one of my favorites to get to see and walk around. I had an old sweatshirt from there for years and years and was sad when it finally died

Yes you are right, it is commonplace for there to be hauntings in places that have a lot of emotional history tied to them.
