UM-Bot 10,128 #1 Posted March 8, 2018 Quote Who among us hasn't wished to spread their wings and fly? To cease to be earthbound and soar to the heavens? But perhaps, in real-world terms, a person with wings might not be such a pleasant, liberating thing. "Weird Winged Wonders: The Twilight World of Cryptid Creatures" from Timothy Green Beckley's Global Communications/Inner Light publishing house, offers important new insights into flying humanoids. The reader should understand that we're not dealing with the classic images of winged angels as portrayed by artists down through the centuries. The book is about something much stranger, more "alien" and frightening. https://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/column.php?id=316270

I have to believe ancient man would have found many a dinosaur fossil. I figure that has to be the base origins of the dragon myths. Imagine finding a T-rex skull or skeleton but not knowing the beast was extinct. Or something like this opalized pliosaur named Eric: https://io9.gizmodo.com/5987941/eric-the-pliosaur-one-of-the-most-interesting-fossils-on-the-planet
Jon the frog 2,269 #4 Posted March 29, 2018 (edited) An European in medieval age who come across a lost Nile crocodile... it's enough to get them worried about dragon. Some cyclops tales comes from mastodon or mammoth skull with their big frontal gap. But the flying beast is more intriguing. To imagine flying dragon is way more difficult to sort off with natural phenomena incomprehension. Edited March 29, 2018 by Jon the frog
