Still Waters Posted March 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2018 A woman in the Scottish Highlands has become the first person known to have kept a single injured bee as a pet. Fiona Presly, a librarian from Inverness, rescued a buff-tailed bumblebee queen born without wings and struggling to survive. She said of the bee’s discovery: “I found her when we were getting work done in the garden, and it was lucky I didn’t stand on her.” “She must have just come out of hibernation. I put my hand down in front of her and she crawled on to it right away. I looked at her and thought, ‘Something’s not right here, she’s got no wings.’”https://inews.co.uk/news/uk/bee-bumblebee-pet-fiona-presly-injured/
khol Posted March 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2018 Interesting story. I like this person. She could have left the bee to probably die but opted to save it. I can relate to her. I literally have a hard time killing a fly. Spiders in house?..I pick them up and put them outside ! Its having respect for nature and other living things. Life whether its human or insect, reptile or bird is truly remarkable. I wish everyone was on board with that
