Only_ Posted April 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2018 (edited) Quote Bolton dealing to build an Arab military force in Syria Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump's newly minted national security adviser John Bolton and Secretary of State nominee Mike Pompeo are among those spearheading a push to build a coalition of Arab military forces that could replace US troops in Syria and serve as a stabilizing force in the region once ISIS is defeated, according to sources familiar with internal discussions. While convincing nations like Saudi Arabia to join the cause is sure to come at a price, the Trump administration is considering an offer that includes putting a compelling reward on the table, a source close to the White House told CNN. https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/18/politics/trump-us-syria-strategy-arab-force-pompeo-bolton/index.html ''The administration has already reached out to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to contribute billions of dollars to the effort as well as troops.'' Unusual Tournament Posted April 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 18, 2018 @Clockwork_Spirit says... "Stabilize the region with those who created ISIS in the first place? Go figure!" my thoughts also, how wonderful. the same nations that created ISIS get to police against it. this Bolton character is almost as bright as Trump.
Sir Smoke aLot Posted April 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Actually whole corrupted Arab League want's it for long time now but they can't mess with Egypt so that will never happen as was seen before. Saudis and their closest allies strive for that for long time and for the Western interests Saudis were giving credibility for long time, but that will change soon, Saudi regime is fanatic religious sect dictatorship which was proven recently but since they are western pawn they are allowed. Do they wan't to include Bahrain, UAE etc? What a joke my friends, what a sick joke. But, their narrative is leading to debacle. This part below is my overlook on what happened with isis since 2015 : - it was only when Russia joined the fight that Syria got cleaned of isis, USA did nothing worthy in Syria to compare with SAA and Russia. As a result of good campaign in Syria by SAA and it's allies, USA and their allies have fastened the break of isis in Iraq and at end, destruction of Raqqa and Mosul were so terrible but had to be done so that SAA do not take all of it's territory (namely oil fields in the east) back. Why did not UK or France bomb YPG and US At Tanf base, considering the amount of lives and infrastructure loss which happened in Mosul and Raqqa? This was not the question ofc just to show how despicable moves the west makes in and around Syria. Anyhow, happy day it was when SAA joined with Iraqi forces on the border showing unity and happiness after isis was destroyed in the region. So it's all geopolitics, nothing to do with Syrian people or infrastructure. By taking the oil fields those who are against Syria are trying to deprive them of resources for reconstruction. Those who occupy Syria, contrary to international law they surely do have interest in this, to deprive and to demolish only secular state in the region.
+and-then Posted May 3, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 3, 2018 My uncle used to raise Greyhounds for racing. Once, I saw several of them get into a fight. One of them was bitten hard enough to draw blood and ALL the other dogs suddenly focused on gutting the injured animal. It was a disturbing thing to see. Syria IS that wounded dog. All the other parties that have joined in the fight now want a piece of the territory for their own and for their own reasons.
