and you will be one day, you might as well be imprisoned for a thought that you can even have a conversation about gasing jews, you think it'll never happen? i can almost guarantee it will, and you would have to  thank yourself for it, your attitude enables it.

btw i'm a half jew and half Russian my ancestors on both sides suffered more from Nazis than anyone in the world,  and i see another nazi regime coming, but under different name,

So what I hear you saying is, “to start an objective conversation about gasing Jews”...

“The Sheriff is near...” sequence in Blazing Saddles (actually pretty much the whole movie) is a great example of how the use of offensive language and themes can be extremely funny... and overall have a positive effect on the discussion of the issues involved.

Where is the line drawn? One person’s free speech is another’s hate speech. Now, it takes just one person who takes offense at something that is said. Who can be funny/ creative in that environment? Constantly self-censoring so as not to give any offense to anyone...

Fair point.  The problem with suppressing speech that is hateful (without actually calling for violence against any group) is that there's no one watching the watchers.  What happens when someone decides that speaking some unpleasantness (even if true) about someone like, say, Trump, can be called a hate crime?  It's all about perspective.  When we accept that it's okay to shout anyone down for their opinions then we're on a path we're better off avoiding.  The answer to hate speech is MORE speech that answers with truths.

Then shush before the ultra left New wave Neo Nazi psychic thought police get wind of our openly conversing without fear about matters of the hollocaust.

It’s drawn by a judge, in a court, as clearly demonstrated.

Every time I see a person with such an, or two, ear-crater/s I`m wondering how they handle the crater when they will stop wearing such plug/s. Do they go for a plastic surgery? Or will they use the hole as a newspaper holder? Or as a hands-free system for a smartphone? Curious.

i'm not worried, but you should, i'm a jew (mother is a jew, so  by Jewish law i'm 100% jew) so i can say that, you are not, so you can not.

otoh you prbly can, if you identify yourself as a jew, in this day you really do not have to be one to think you are, and people around you must consider you what you think you are, not what you really are.  that is liberal logic for you, lol

I’m sorry, is my ancestry openly accessible for all to see, or are you psychic like the thought police?

I was replying to a comment that had no relevance to remembrance Sunday or has the title of the thread been changed.

Yeah that’s it, logical things like this:

Quote

But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel: Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die

Well yes it does, it highlights very clearly that acts like the hollocaust and those that died fighting the Nazi’s are still very much in the national conscious, therefore comments such as:

Quote

Are somewhat inflammatory, but perhaps that was your intent?

No, but because you don't like my comment then that makes it inflammatory then. One man's freedom of Speech is another man's hate speech as the court case in this thread clearly demonstrates. Labelling this guy a Nazi because he films his dog allegedly doing a Nazi salute is allowed but my opinion is not, enter the Liberal PC police.

On freedom of speech, Britain has become the laughing stock of the Western world. People actually laugh at us. I recently gave a talk in Brazil on political correctness and I told the audience about the arrest and conviction of a Scottish man for publishing a video of his girlfriend’s pug doing a Nazi salute for a joke and they laughed. Loudly. Some of them refused to believed it was true. I found the news report on my iPhone and showed them. They laughed again. Brazilians, inhabitants of a nation not that long out of military dictatorship, are shocked at how illiberal Britain has become...

This is a good article, and it's worth noting a couple more quotes from it...

"We now live under a bizarre tyranny of self-esteem, where hurt feelings can lead to court cases, and where the easily offended can marshal the state to crush those who dared to offend them. An unholy marriage between our wimpish offence-taking culture and a state desperate to be seen as caring and purposeful has nurtured an insidious new censorship that targets everything from comedy and rap to criticism of Islam or strongly stated political views."

"We might agree that many or even all of them are offensive ideas, but to criminalise them is a far greater offence. It is an offence against freedom and the open society and the right of everyone to say what they think and everyone else to decide for themselves if that person’s speech is valuable or ridiculous. Censorship chills and infantilises and strangles the public sphere so that we end up in a situation where the state tells us what we may say, and by extension what we may think. We are sleep-walking into a thought-policing state."

Speaking for yourself I gather?

The point is that some random person who doesn’t know you can take something you say, publish it out of context and claim some sort of nefarious intent where there is none... that you were merely entertaining the concept in the context of having a discussion has no bearing... you see how that works?

you equate calling spade a spade to

comparing absolutely incomparable things,  he did exactly what you do.

Anyone actually seen the video? It's hilarious.

Many British Jews agree with you. Evidently, one guy set this ball in motion when he took offense at the silly and tasteless prank. It's just one more event that proves that the UK "au-thor-i-ties" aren't big fans of the rights that we have. It's tragic when you look at the fact that brilliant British philosophers served as the inspirations for our Founding Fathers.

What happened to the UK? It's the most surveilled country in the world. They charge people with "hate speech" and "thought crimes". They let a child die in a hospital. They take babies and children from moms with garden variety low IQs. They take a newborn from parents who are deemed too old. They spy on citizens (as our government does). They call for knife control when London has a spate of stabbings, which propels it past New York City in the murder rate.

The National Socialists were many things, but "funny" wasn't part of their repertoire.
