A time-lapse movie of the very close flyby of the Roseta probe past comet 67 P Churyumov-Gerasimenk has been stitched together from a 25 minute-long series of images, taken by the spacecraft on June 1st, 2016. The rain of bright particles is believed to be a combination of comet dust and energetic particles, invisible to the naked eye. A dramatic cliff-like structure can be seen, to the left. Loose boulders and/or chunks of ice are visible to the right.
