Funny thing about realizing that nothing you do is ever enough... eventually you get freed from caring.  Call me a vicious racist long enough and hell, I may start to act the part- but I doubt it.  What I - and many others would do - is just ignore the noise and do what we feel needs doing to protect our lives and families.  My guess is that most southern towns would create a body politic like the FREE STATE OF JONES.  

When that kind of freedom begins to spread, the Progs will LOSE everything and free people will prosper again.

I work for me. In the last two days since I logged on, I bought 200 additional acres of land at $1600 an acre for my 312 head of cattle to graze on...that was a $320,000 purchase and just one of several pots I keep on the fire. 

My point being that I've never needed or asked for help from anyone. Everything I have, I've worked my butt off for over the last 20 years. I've never taken out a loan or even had a credit card. I think I'll be ok.  Able bodied grown men complaining about how hard life is or wanting handouts makes me shake my head in disgust.

 

How do you feel about the topic? Are you ok with the media lying to you?

Good to hear that, youve done good for yourself.

My own and others' point (I think) being that there are scores of people who work their butts off just like you do, but didnt get the breaks and/or opportunities you did. Sometimes people need help, and granting it is one of the most satisfying things this life has to offer imho. Needing help does not equate 'wanting handouts', we all need help sometimes.. and helping eachother is what makes us human.. Id like to think anyway.

And please, dont take this as me promoting full blown socialism / Marxism or extreme sh* like that, I just take offense at marking anyone that doesnt 'contribute to society' at any given moment as 'undesirables'.

And please ², dont take that as meaning I am unemployed myself, because I have never been unemployed since graduation.
