freetoroam Posted May 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2018 The wonders of DNA and genetic genealogy technology is amazing. Finally he has been caught, time does not wash these murders under the carpet...but this is also disturbing: Quote detectives finally identified the person responsible for sending the disturbing greeting cards. He is a man now in his 70s with severe mental issues. He readily admitted that he was their author. Police interviewed him for several hours and now believe he had nothing to do with Jay and Tanya's murders; he probably read about the story in a newspaper and sent the cards from there. A man who would have murdered if he had the opportunity? Who fantasized about murdering? Who put himself in the murderers shoes and relished in those thoughts? There are a lot of sick people out there who should not ....be out there. Also disturbing is the fact there was (at least) 2 other serial killers operating at that time. Sad world for the victims and their loved ones, but thankfully this case can now bring to justice the man who thought he had got away with murder for so long.
