Popular Post fabsx Posted May 27, 2018 Popular Post #1 Share Posted May 27, 2018 We live in an "I'm offended" society nowadays. Can't say something without hurting someone's feelings and I think It's obvious people are using that as a privilege to get away with anything after figuratively taking a crap on somebody for doing or having something they find offensive. Some people get really offended If it's religion-related etc, and sure that is respectable but some do it for attention and even dare to upload it on the internet for the whole world to see how screwed up their logic is. Tired of having to control what I say. Once I got yelled at for saying that 20 years gap in a relationship is a bit too much and this mom got angry because her daughter has been in one, felt like she wanted to kill me just for one single opinion. Opinions are not as free as they used to be and the consequences might be severe. Be careful with your surroundings. Boo Hoo 11 3
Popular Post +susieice Posted May 27, 2018 Popular Post #2 Share Posted May 27, 2018 Everyone wants their opinion respected while being offended by everyone else's. I know not where all this is going to lead.
Popular Post NightScreams Posted May 27, 2018 Popular Post #3 Share Posted May 27, 2018 I stopped caring what others think a long time ago. It makes offending someone so much easier and at times, comical. I draw a line with people and show them where that line is. When it comes to online, I just ignore it or don't read it to begin with, if they are offended, they'll get over it. They always do. Theres also this "toxic" word used to describe offenders such as toxic masculinity. When a man that doesn't want to toughen up or stand face, tries to justify their reason for storing their nut sacks in a purse by calling that person "toxic" which is really just saying it hurts their feelings because they don't want to compete or have to be an Alpha male because it's work, it's drive, it's focus, it's doing something......I sure wouldn't want to depend on people like that to save me from a burning building btw. Give me the heroes, the Amazonian women, the Alpha males because we need more leaders, we need more heroes and we need more people that can stand up to face to face and not from behind a keyboard because there are only 2 kinds of people in the world, leaders and followers and by nature we have fewer leaders than followers but I fear the attitudes of sensitivity being dispersed to the followers are turning them into being less than being that, they are instead trying to shut down the leaders from behind sign boards and keyboards but yet won't lead themselves. Opinions when asked or for the sake of insight or knowledge are one thing but driving opinions are the real toxin. The "you are wrong, I am right" attitude is basically coercing people against their will and hence we build a social wall. It's reaching a point where if you belong to an identified group, you are outcasted by another before you get your tickets and that leads to a gradual rescindment in society where shared knowledge and insight become the target for war rather than discussion. It's not about controlling what you say but controlling how you want your life to be, not how you want others to be nor how they want you to be. Because odds are that they just want to ride unicorns and count butterfly's.
