Apparently only from an Americans point of view.

Check this out...

Thanks for that Astra. ;)

From the link:

Quote

Gradually, the term "soccer" gained popularity in the U.S. to distinguish the sport from American football. By the 1980s, the Brits began to part with the term, apparently, because it had become too "American."

Well, well, well. That's me alright, "Too American"  Grrrrrrrrrr

Well, I'm not a great football fan by any stretch of the imagination. In Australia tho, they play either Rugby Union, Rugby League, AFL or soccer. So we do distinguish the difference between soccer and football.

Either way, John Cleese was funny in the vid... :P..

Awesome. I would like to visit.

We have quite a few Aussie kickers here that play in the NFL.

Yeah, it's good to know that a few of our guys over yonder are doing well in the NFL.

I haven't been following things too closely, but apparently Jarryd Hayne has been accused of rape, which he has unequivocally denied. That's all I know so far.

No, don't do that in the science section,  it's what the conspiracy section is for.

Clearly this thread needs to be moved to the conspiracy section. Russians played football without any hooligan violence? MUST be a conspiracy theory

a.) All equipment to be lifted up to the ISS1 passed stringent stress test also related to excessive g-force inputs

b.) The people up there do know very well what can be done up there and what not
