Again? What's with all the time travelers this year?

Also, as everybody is surely aware, lie detectors can't measure whether a statement is factually correct, just whether the tested person beliefs it and can be cheated with practice,

I'm just gutted for Stephen Hawkins - he held a party for time travellers and no one came!

well... not only every single one of them doesn't offer any kind of evidence whatsoever whether that would be a piece of technology or facts that would come true in the very near future so we can at least start to believe their claims but they are all making videos on youtube talking about it. as if the governments or any shady organizations (actualy governments included...) would leave them alone if they were actualy real.

Absolute farce. That much of a farce that their faces have been blurred or covered over. Why?

Incase they are spotted on the street and people say "there are those idiots who made that idiot video"

Not that this is a big dis-qualifier, but the name James Oliver really doesn't seem like the name I would expect someone from 4000+ years in the future to have.

For someone with a time machine and a person within the future, he seems very, unintelligent. The answer to cutting back on CO2 emission is innovation not regulations or taxes to prevent people from even bothering with coming up with new ideas. Sounds like someone with a political agenda. Regulations and tax does nothing besides create more monopolies and oligopolies. These two things are NOT created by capitalism, but by socialism. Monopolies and oligopolies have no problem with buying new innovations and destroying them for their own gain. This is NOT the answer. Support the people who have new innovations and don't choke their profits, unless you want to live in an environmentally unfriendly world where people can careless about innovation.

This is total BS. I would seriously doubt that someone 3,000 years from now would have any accent, as we know accents today.

Fraud, schizophrenia, whatever... and certainly not real.

What happens when all of these "Time Travelers" happen to meet and perhaps produce a child? You gotta believe this because the guy with the blocked face has a computer attached to the guy with the fuzzy face and "Truth" shows on the screen of this "Youtube video" and Youtube never lies. /sarc

Think about the intelligence part of your statement.  The news media and now the  "Millenniums" carry their devices around with them and depend on a service to tell them when and how to do something or have their heads blasting with music.  Their so disconnected to the rest of the world, the IQ of the world will probably be lower than what we call an idiot level now!

You get a paradox, especially if they are their own ancestor. You can also get multiple time streams containing new and different realities.

*sigh* I don't even know where to start, it was like watching a high school film project... I feel even commenting on this is giving it too much attention already.

The accent from a planet in a different galaxy thousands of years in the future sounds suspiciously English.  So Doctor Who is accurate then?

I call BS on this business.

Polygraph tests should ask questions that receive either "yes" or "no", not some long drawn out interview.

Well the fact that he's hiding this time machine should suggest he's part of something bigger. Unfortunately, his stupid and proven to be false logic suggests he's not. Technology also requires to be managed by someone. The idea that people's IQ's will drop in the future I don't truly believe in. The most that will happen is that our brains will focus on different things that are important over memorization and such. In fact right now that's kind of what our education is based off of; memory. This is why when new college graduates go into the workforce without any work experience, they're many times worse than people without an education. Self taught knowledge I believe is more effective than anything you'd learn in school. But anyway, I'm just going off topic now. Basically people wont get dumb, they will simply think in ways that technology cannot.

I agree to everything you said.  I'm self-taught in my field.

Time travelers never seem to ever bring anything from the future with them. I mean medical books would be nice, perhaps school textbook from the far future where they claim to be from. Nope, never happens.

Even a coin with a future year date on it would be somewhat interesting.  Of course this could be faked, but these time traveler claimants don't even seem able to make that much effort to convince us. Just a lot of uncheckable claims.

I find the interview very hard to follow, what with the accent, plus rather poor voice altering technology, plus poor acoustics in the room.  Can someone connect that accent with a specific place? It sound British to me. It seems unlikely that a current-day accent would be preserved, without alteration, for over a thousand years.

I also find it unlikely that someone from the far future would use a current idiom like -- 'yeah, no problem' when thanked for his participation in the interview.

The alleged time traveler says that his year count -- 6491 -- dates from the first civilization on Earth.  We currently believe that civilization began about 3200 B.C.E. If that holds in the future, then this fellow would be claiming to be from about 1277 years in the future, or the year 3291 C.E.

Me, too. I used to think that people in the early 21st century were in pretty bad shape; talking to themselves and holding the side of their heads. Then I learned about cell phones!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought when someone takes a lie detector test, the person is to be motionless and just answer Yes or No.

Its all freaking John Titor's fault. Once he leaked the secrets of the IBM 5100 everything went nuts. Now we have scores of morons traveling and screwing up the timeline giving us such gems as the Berenstain bears and Looney Tunes. SMDH

I knew it was fake when he started talking about global warming and the Paris accord.  They're just left wing conspiracy hacks that need to find a job.
