A good piece from the BBC telling the full story:

The boys will be released from the hospital in a few more days. They will receive follow-up care, but there is no sign of infectious disease. They made videos and spoke to thank everyone who rescued them and those who were concerned. They are passing both physical and psychological testing.

The 12 boys rescued from a flooded cave in northern Thailand last week have spoken publicly of their ordeal for the first time, describing the "moment of miracle" when divers found them.

It's good to see them all sitting there and looking well.

Yes! They were all released from the hospital today and answered selected questions out of over 100 that had been sent in by the media. They describe how they became trapped. They had only intended to stay for an hour, but when they turned to go back out, water had already began to block their way out. They look wonderful!!

This article is much better. They talk about the diver who died saving them. They were also all given a white box. No word about what was in it.

Thai cave boys ordained in Buddhist ceremony

Most members of the Thai youth football team rescued from a flooded cave have had their heads shaved as part of a Buddhist ceremony to ordain them as novices.

Their coach is also receiving monk's orders. One of the boys is not joining the ceremony as he is a Christian.

The group will spend nine days living in a monastery, a tradition for males in Thailand who experience adversity.

They look so different than they did a week ago. May peace and happiness surround them as they do their service to the monasteries.

They seem to be doing well. Also the video showing the mural and artworks is interesting.
