Russia warns of deadly mutant space bacteria

Just watched the Movie LIFE last night!

They say

Efforts are now underway to develop ways to prevent contamination by such organisms in the future.

But really look at the bacteria that they found in the NASA clean room. It seems pretty clear there is no way to protect from this problem other than stop going into space at all. Unknown life is just that how can you know what would contain them or how they would respond to materials or any known safety checks.

This isn't unknown life, though.

It's bacteria from here that mutates if it travels to space.

It could return in mutated form and cause problems here.

That's why I mentioned the earthy one in NASA clean room. They are really capable creatures!

CR, I'm ready for a 28 Days Later or Romero scenario.

It seems like you and Piney are all set for SHTF.

You've got your off the grid cabin going and he's got his chainsaw.

It is bound to happen sooner or later with or without going to space.  Just overpopulation along with environmental stresses is enough.  All it takes is a bird flu to jump species or something unknown from the thawing permafrost in the arctic.

There are bacteria everywhere. There are bacteria everywhere in the air, too. That means that there are bacteria at the very top of the Earth's atmosphere, at the edge of space. That means that the Earth has been exposed to mutated bacteria that have returned from the edge of space for more than four billion years. Undoubtedly some people will suggest that those mutated bacteria are what killed off the dinosaurs - but they are wrong.

This kind of fear-mongering science is bogus.

Anyone ever notice how Mysterious Universe regularly 'borrows' and rewrites articles form this site?
https://mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/07/russian-scientists-warn-of-mutant-bacteria-from-space/

I like MU, but damn...It's uncanny.

The question is was temperature mimicking the heat of re-entry used to see if the bacteria is killed or is Russia trying to see if they can weaponize this.  If they have an OOPS! they can say, We warned you about this. Sort of sounds like an old Sci-Fi movie I watch many years ago.
