Eldorado Posted July 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2018 (edited) A village carnival and flower show was overshadowed when a car, which had a note with instructions on how to drive it stuck to the dashboard, crashed through its main marquee. Officials were assessing exhibits for the Burnhams event when the incident happened at around 11.30am yesterday. At least one person was hurt, though none of the injuries were serious. acute Posted July 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2018 (edited) Whether it's because of their slow reactions, poor concentration, failing sight/hearing, memory loss, or other age-related condition(s), the majority of elderly drivers shouldn't be on the roads. Simple as that. The percentage of old people who are capable of passing a modern driving test must be miniscule. (PS: When he was in the Royal Marines, my father was given a driving licence with no test! It makes me wonder how many seniors are still driving untested.)
