So what makes him trustworthy when every other outlet isn't?

Rush is the original right wing talk radio conspiracy theorist. He's probably about 30% of the reason we have all the Republican numpties we see today. 60% of the blame goes to Roger Ailes.

Quote

Of Limbaugh's controversial statements and allegations they have investigated, Politifact has rated 84% as ranging from "Mostly False" to "Pants-On-Fire" (a signification for extremely false), with 5% of Limbaugh's contested statements rising to the level of "Mostly True" and 0% rated "True."[97] These debunked allegations by Limbaugh include suggestions that the existence of gorillas disproves the theory of evolution, that Ted Kennedy sent a letter to Soviet Leader Yuri Andropov seeking to undercut President Reagan, that a recent lack of hurricanes disproves climate change, and that President Obama wanted to mandate circumcision.

Politico is one of the most authoritative fact checkers on the Internet and Wikipedia isn't even a source, it's a conduit to other sources. I wonder what Rush uses as his sources?

The Clown...in two years has brought The US economy to an all time high. Lowest unemployment ever,,,and across all races...lowest black unemployment ever...lowest Hispanic unemployment ever.

This simply isn't true, and both these stats are pretty meaningless.

The US economy is not at "an all time high" - this sounds like the sort of vague boast Trump would make however. Growth in GDP was higher in 2014 under Obama than it has been this year under Trump.

Unemployment started a pretty consistent slide in 2011 under Obama, and many economists in 2018 pointed out that the seemingly impressive numbers in 2018 were due to a shrinking labour force, not an increase in available jobs. If you don't actively search for a new job for 4 weeks, they don't count you as unemployed. All "lowest black unemployment" means is "less black people were able to search for work" - this was something Trump was very eager to call his predecessor out on before he came into office himself.

You need to look instead at employment-population ratios, and these show that black employment was at the same level in 2008 under Bush and lower than in 2000 under Clinton. The reason why actual employment numbers fell in the early 2000s is because of the stock market crash. Not Obama's fault, just as the rise in employment since then is anything to do with Trump.

It simply is!

The US unemployment rate  was unchanged at 3.7 percent in October 2018, unchanged from the previous month's 49-year low and in line with market expectations. The number of unemployed increased by 111 thousand to 6.08 million and employment rose by 600 thousand to 156.56 million. Unemployment Rate in the United States averaged 5.77 percent from 1948 until 2018, reaching an all time high of 10.80 percent in November of 1982 and a record low of 2.50 percent in May of 1953.

That means that for every job lost...6 jobs were created.  Doesn't really match a 'shrinking labour force' narrative does it?

In reality Emma, here is what happened.  Everyone knew, even before the election, that Obama would be elected.  A lot of people were scared...actually frightened...because they believed that when he said he was going to 'transorm' America, that what that really meant was that he was going to transform America into a Socialist country.  As a result of that...people pulled out of the stock market.  Now, you can say that wasn't Obama's fault...that their fear was the actual cause...but...it remains nonetheless that his Policy goals, as understood by the masses, were a catalyst for that fear.

As a result of the pull out of the stock market...many companies found themselves in a huge bind.  Home Depot and the like began laying off people left and right.  As a result...the housing market bubble also collapsed...Now it was hard to even get a mortgage and many who had mortgages were unable to sustain payment.  All of this from fear of Obama's policies.

Trump's policies have created the opposite effect.  People are optimistic and that is a catalyst for growth...which is what we are experiencing now.  The numbers are real Emma...regardless of what you may think about the man himself.  But...and...here are some things about the man himself that helps along the Optimism of the American people:

He gets things done.  He seemingly never sleeps...even though he owns Golf Resorts all over the globe...he rarely goes golfing...compared to his predecessor who was seemingly always on the golf course.

He keeps his political promises which is virtually unheard of.   Example:  He said before the election...Here is what I'll do.  'Hello Mr. Ford CEO...I think you should build plants in America instead of Mexico.  If you want to build in Mexico that's okay, but I'm going to slap a 35% tariff on all cars coming into the US from Mexico.'   That is what he said he was going to do.  Did he do that?  NO!! Ford just amazingly decide to build its plant in America!  Why?  Because they believed that he would do exactly what he said if they built in Mexico.

Why do people not like him?  I can only guess it is the Left that doesn't like him...and because the Media is Left...all we here is what a bad guy he is.  It isn't true. :)

I'm doing my best not to rip your head off right now

No, seriously, you can't limit yourself to one guy as the source of info, no matter how much you trust him. I don't trust my own self that much, I see on daily basis that things may look a lot different when you take a better look at them.

Recently I was enjoying the latest episode of Trump-Putin horror show and the same video looks different in different sites, since it was cut just a little differently.

So... no, one source is not a wise choice. All media is worth taking a look, you just have to remember from what angle each operates and you'll get immensely more complete and accurate picture than from one source alone.

But ...

You can get all your news from one source...if that one source tells you what everyone else is saying and why.

I like the drudgereport. He links to all kinds of news stories.  That's where those who know go to see it all...so I am not uninformed...nor am I misinformed.  I am actually pretty damn well informed.

I just know what side of the political spectrum I am on and why.  And I know why the other side of the political perspective is striped the way it is as well.

I have a question....because I can't find my drummer from Croatia...zipppp...gone...not a trace....

....might people go missing in Croatia based on their political perspective?  Knock once if yes, twice if no, three times if you have no comment because you don't want to go missing.

One source is too dangerous. There's always a possibility of well designed campaign going on. Personally, I'm aware I can't be immune to propaganda. I think I can spot the simple, glaring examples, but something carefully designed might sway me too.

So I always take a look at various sources. It can be fun too, to see the same thing through completely different filter.

*knocks on wood* *three times* damn... no, I won't go missing. I think  You never know, but at least I'm a smoker so my organs must be crap and there won't be much use of my corpse

All right, in all seriousness, no, we're not disappearing out of political reasons at the moment. But that's something that can change overnight.

You do recognize that is simply continuing the upward trend the economy had been on for years right?

QAnon's true believers are devastated as the conspiracy theory goes down in flames — and it won't end well

Quote

In time, a gigantic overarching narrative emerged in which Trump, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and Special Counsel Robert Mueller were all working together and planning mass arrests of everyone from Hillary Clinton to liberal financier George Soros to members of Congress, for their role in a massive, world-spanning criminal child sex ring enterprise that has included every former U.S. president — and that people should prepare martial law and orchestrated mass riots to protect those marked for arrest. Q's believers have claimed that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is a CIA plant, that former Democratic staffer Seth Rich was assassinated by MS-13 on the orders of party leadership, and that Republicans intentionally lost the special election for Jeff Sessions' Senate seat in Alabama to build evidence of voter fraud. At its height, QAnon broke into popular culture, with disgraced TV star Roseanne Barr promoting it on Twitter.

But now, the ongoing failure of Q's predictions to come true has started to fragment the community, and two major events in particular smashed the credibility of the movement for many believers.

This was fun to watch on election night

I recognize that as a lie of the Left.  I don't know where you were during the eight years of Obama...but I was right here.  I lived it. I suffered through it.  To give credit to Obama for Trumps Economy is completely ridiculous.

I lived through it as well. Obama inherited a recession. The economy was climbing out of the recession basically all of Obamas presidency and is still to this day. The data comes directly from the government,no "lies from the left" facts dont have biases.  Did Trump inherit a mess? 8 charts show otherwise
