Those "Alien" Mummies From Peru

Harte

Recommended Posts

It's a YouTube vid so it's an impeccable source.

Or, at least it might get watched.

However, it's over a half hour long so maybe not.

I got it from Irna.

I predict that Papageorge will show up soon and vouch for the "authenticity" of these things.

If they’re the ones I’m thinking of more of a case of “interfering with a corpse” than “fun with scissors, paper and glue”.

The guys involved with these mummies are certainly that kind of fringie. I just wish this hoax wouldn't keep getting the publicity that it does.

Well, those two things aren't exactly mutually exclusive...

This was an outstanding 30 minutes spent, @Harte . Thank you very much.

Terrible, though, terrible and sad what people will do for a buck.

Does Jamie Maussan have anything to do with this? It has his fingerprints all over it...

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/alien-mummy-peru/

Quote

In 2015, Mexican journalist Jaime Maussan, who reported the existence of the Nazca mummy to Gaia and is featured in the video, led an event called Be Witness, at which a mummified body — purportedly that of an alien — was unveiled. Later, though, that “alien” discovery was debunked, and the mummified corpse was shown to be that of a human child.

Yeah..The same guy who reported in 2015 at the now infamous Roswell Slides debacle in Mexico....That human child was a mummy from Thebes...

Also if you will notice the little guys in the video have three fingers same as this one:

I call "hoax" on it!

And again this thread …...feels so empty without me

I do lean to believing they are real and something unknown to science. Sorry, that is less than vouching for authenticity.

I've seen and heard some new stuff since this subject got so hot on here I believe they had to close thread and even talk of shutting down the entire internet.

For these mummies to be a hoax at this point would require some wholesale lying by now a good number of people. For just one thing, the hands and feet come from one organism (by the DNA analysis of the bones involved - same individual) and are not cobbled together fake hands/feet.

So what DO you scoffers think it is (as opposed to just what they are not)?

And you've again ignored the x-rays of the hands showing finger and wrist bones from multiple individuals composited together. Why am I not surprised? Not to mention that the people involved (Maussan, Korotkov, et al.) have lied many times before.

Who you going to believe?

I recall Maussan being wrong in the past but never 'lying' (a much worse accusation). Where has Korotkov lied many times before? Or are the lies things still under dispute?

I may have to revisit this after my recent absence from this subject. (I haven't watched this whole video yet.) Certainly negative claiming videos on any alien/cryptozoology/paranormal subject are not hard to come by. A true skeptic is skeptical of the so-called skeptics too. What's their agenda?

Hmm. it appears your statements are less than universally accepted. From Gaia:

New Update - June 2018

In spring of 2017, researchers began a scientific inquiry into the origins of six, three-fingered mummies found in Nazca, Peru.

Preliminary results from tests performed on the largest mummy's anomalous hands, cross-examined against the rest of the body, revealed no evidence to indicate a hoax. Scientists found the largest mummy, Maria, to be female and carbon dated her at roughly 1,700 years old.

The tedious work of placing the mummies' DNA in our fossil record, comparing it to modern and ancient humans has begun. As each finding yields more questions, find the latest news here.
