UM-Bot Posted August 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2018 In a recent Twitter exchange, Leland Melvin described seeing 'something organic/alien-like' in the payload bay. https://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/news/320454/nasa-astronaut-saw-alien-in-space-shuttle
+DieChecker Posted August 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2018 (edited) I think we should take the man at his word. If some people think he is letting slip possibilities, I think he simply is being nice. Rather then outright laughing at people who do believe in ufo/aliens. +Not A Rockstar Posted August 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 10, 2018 Yeah, what if it actually was just ice, like they say? He saw it and is apparently fine with it as the answer.

Did this 'ice' have green skin, tiny radio telescope dishes on its head, and a fifties-B-movie-style ray gun? 1
Gaden Posted August 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2018 I'm guessing the click count would be lower if the headline read "Astronaut says he mistook ice for something else". 4
danydandan Posted August 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 10, 2018 This is literally click-bait non-news.
Space Commander Travis Posted August 10, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 10, 2018 Isn't this just pure clickbait? He said he thought it looked organicy sort of ish, but he accepted the explanation that it was in fact ice? So isn't this whole story something of a waste of time (and the headline extremely misleading)? 2

The reason why people 'laugh / sigh' at believers is because they either can not be bothered to read the article or they simply do not understand it. Yes, but there are still some believers who think otherwise.

MyOtherAccount Posted August 11, 2018 #11 Share Posted August 11, 2018 Someone, please enlighten me... What are the visual differences between organic looking ice and inorganic looking ice?
UFOwatcher Posted August 11, 2018 #12 Share Posted August 11, 2018 Deceptive Click bait (again). Hope it's not the future for this website.
