Did you catch Laura Ingrahams latest racist rant?

Yeah I did it was the disgustingly perfect example of dog whistling to motivate the base.

It and the seemingly coordinated efforts on Foxnews certainly explain why the WH is giving ethics waivers so its staff can stay in contact with Fox

White House: Ethics Waivers in 'The Public Interest'

Quote

White House counsel claimed it was “in the public interest” for staffers to be excused from federal ethics laws that prohibit them from having meetings with their former colleagues. Bill Shine, formerly of Fox News, and Larry Kudlow, who worked at CNBC, were both granted ethics waivers.

Hmm.... from googleing around, this appears to be the "racist rant" in question...

.. “in major parts of the country, it does seem that the America we know and love doesn’t exist anymore. Massive demographic changes have been foisted on the American people and they’re changes that none of us ever voted for and most of us don’t like.”..

I suspect a lot of American's would agree with that, and surely it is NOT racist to point it out ?

Yes ranting about the changing "demographics" (AKA race) of a nation as if its some crisis nefariously being "foisted" on the American people is absolutely racist , its actually quite perfect dog whistling.  She leaves wiggle room but come on, what demographic do you think she's referring to in this rant?

Claiming some victimhood because she didnt get to vote on who immigrates here is also a pretty loud and clear bullhorn as Americans have never voted on the "Demographic" make up of its immigrants. She was literally lamenting that in the 21st century brown folks do the majority of the migrating.

Its really pretty simple to see. All the data points to the key to Trump's success being varying forms of "white fear" of status loss. Now they are facing a midterm with districts in play which they would have never thought possible so they are ramping up their efforts to stoke the fear.

No it isn't.

Really ? Literally lamenting ? Where does she do that ? She certainly doesn't in the snippet I posted earlier ?

Of course it is. It's thinly veiled code for 'I don't like all these brown people we see nowadays'.

I suppose you think you are being cute with this piece of character assassination!  I think that is crossing the line.  For one, that is out of character for Laura, but your type doesn’t care for character anyway.  Second, if you watch it, you can see how such a poor editing job it is.  And third, I watched the original and here it is:

This shows what the Progressive mind thinks of America.  You and your ilk are no better than David Duke.  It isn’t really a matter of changing demographics that is threatening America, it is the lack of loyalty.  Borders, Language, Culture are what define a nation and the key is unwavering loyalty to that nation.  When these are gone, you have no nation.  That is what is happening.  A nation can only absorb so many legal immigrants at any one time.  Too many at once threatens our Borders, Language, Culture.  We are a nation of immigrants.  That doesn’t mean that they stay perpetual immigrants.  The whole idea is to assimilate to the American way of life as quickly as possible.  The Founding Fathers warned about uncontrolled immigration.  Too often than not, an immigrant will bring the vestments that they fled and there is no room for that here.  Then you throw in the flood of illegals and we become swamped.  There is no chance for them to assimilate.  There is no loyalty to this nation.  We see this disloyalty not just from illegals that think that they can break our laws and get away with it to the Progressives that think they can turn this into some Socialist utopia, where only they will be well off with a huge uneducated slave force to meet their needs.  I think that is what Laura was getting at.  Progressives think that “American” culture is “White” and that is so fundamentally wrong.  If you are a Black American, you live in the American culture.  If you want to live in a Black culture, then go to Africa.  Likewise, if you want to live in a White culture, go to Scandinavia.  If you want to be an American then live here and offer this nation every ounce of loyalty you can muster.

Hahahaha , OMG  you really should consider starting a right wing stand up show.

Been listening to her elitist racist droning for more than a decade, sell that to someone else.

I watched the original too. Wrapping racism up into party politics is simply mainstreaming racism, it doesn't actually add legitimacy to the conversation

How would you like a group of politicians and SJWs make decisions for you without even asking what you want or need, without even visiting you?

That's what the Democrats do to us Indians. It's elitist and it's RACIST.

I'm also wondering when we became "warriors," because I did not realize feeding the homeless in the park was an act of war.

I'm not elite and I'm not a warrior and I'm not a racist.

You think Republicans are gonna have your best interests at heart?

I think not.

They used to have just their own interests at heart.

Now they only have Trump's interests at heart.

Or else they're goners.

Where are all the "free speech" proponents now that Strzok has gotten fired for...speaking freely in a text?

The Dems are not a perfect party by a longshot, but they are not the party sidling up to Nazis.

Republicans just put a Nazi forward as their candidate.

There's really no turning that one around and projecting it onto someone else.

Republicans own that ****.

Clearly his mistake was not using any racial slurs.

Oh sure...if you want to watch the world burn...there's one clear choice.

Lol.

I'll give you that much.

And I know that's why you support him.

And I might be that bitter if I was you.

There's just no way I'm gonna throw in with a party that is nominating actual Nazis.

It's just not gonna happen.

They keep letting Steve Wests and Roy Moores define them, and either enough people still have decency, or they don't.

We shall see.

It's just not gonna be my vote that pitches any of them into power.

How would you dress up "illegal immigrants are an unwanted and unnecessary plague on Society" in such a way that it's palatable for mainstream news?

She's not living in a vacuum...millions and millions of Americans of all colors support that. Legal, non-white voices are conveniently shouted over in this conversation because they don't fit the "anti-illegals = racist" rhetoric. We don't talk about black-on-violence when it comes to guns and we don't talk about the legal Latinos that voted for a border wall when it comes to the illegal alien conversation.

If we're going to talk about these things, let's not leave anything off the table. It's a little disingenuous to paint Laura's words as "racist" when plenty of non-whites are right there with her. They don't recognize today's America either and they don't seem happy about the direction the freeloaders are taking it.

Its simply wholly disingenuous to frame her rant in the light of just illegal immigration. Her own words said so.

Republicans also didn't want Trump to win. I'm sure they aren't thrilled about this "Hitler sympathizer" (does he identify as a Nazi?) winning ballots.

Democrats are trying to erode Constitutional rights any way they can. They aren't even trying to hide it. They want to control your speech, your cash and your morals. That seems very...fascist? What policies have Repubs rolled out that makes them akin to Nazis?

Quote

"From Virginia to California, we see stark examples of how radically, in some ways, the country has changed. Now, much of this is related to both illegal and in some cases legal immigration that, of course, progressives love."

Quote

Ingraham tried to walk back her comment, saying Thursday, “Despite what some may be contending, I made explicitly clear that my commentary had nothing to do with race or ethnicity. But rather a shared goal of keeping America safe and her citizens safe and prosperous.”

Yes, but that is exactly what the racists say. For example, look how closely what Ingraham said, and what Trump said, mirrors the words of white supremacist Richard Spencer, who said, “We live in a multi-cultural country where currently, European Americans are being dispossessed. It’s happening very slowly… We’re being demographically dispossessed. We’re losing our culture, we’re losing our sense of being.”
