Still Waters Posted August 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2018 Three years on from Leonard Nimoy's death, a new actor has been chosen to play his most iconic role - Star Trek science officer Mr Spock. Ethan Peck said it was "an incomparable honour" to be cast as the pointy-eared alien in TV show Star Trek: Discovery. Peck, grandson of Oscar-winner Gregory, will join the show when it returns for its second season next year. The 32-year-old celebrated by posting a photo of himself with Nimoy's family giving Spock's famous Vulcan salute. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-45194195
quiXilver Posted August 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2018 Fun stuff! I had the great fortune to work on the first reboot by JJ. One of the better experiences of my career. As the sets were finished and we would be shuffled about to the next set on the list, I kept getting placed on the sets for Spock's scenes. My partner and I did the layout for the cave scene where young Kirk meets Old Spock. That set was built in the top parking lot of Dodger Stadium overlooking LA. Great memories. Glad they're making another one.
