Bible Blessings

Here is a good verse to connect what Scudbuster and I were speaking about: 15Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16If one of you tells him, “Go in peace; stay warm and well fed,” but does not provide for his physical needs, what good is that? 17So too, faith by itself, if it is not complemented by action, is dead.…

Just a blessing is really meaningless if we do not add what we can materially, do what we can. Our actions matter more than anything we merely say. At bottom, this one failure is why so many of us have left the Church, and why others have left faith entirely. Right or wrong, this is the truth of it. Talk is cheap when it is possible to do more. Sometimes, there is not more we can do, but, a lot of times there is.

The reference is from the Berean Bible, James 2:15-17

Bible hub is great for comparative translations and is generally free of denominational bias, it is just the Bible mostly. You can find the verse and a dozen or more translations of it here: https://biblehub.com/james/2-16.htm
