Myles Posted August 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2018 (edited) Quote A woman walking her dog was killed Monday morning when an alligator attacked her and dragged her into a lagoon in South Carolina, police said. Beaufort County Sheriff's Office received a call around 9:30 a.m. about a possible alligator attack near a lagoon in Sea Pines Plantation, a resort community at Hilton Head Island. Officers arrived and discovered the woman’s body inside the lagoon. According to witnesses, the unidentified woman was walking her dog when an alligator, about 8 feet long, "attacked and pulled" her into the water. Security staff also viewed surveillance video of the attack, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources spokesman Capt. Robert McCullough told The Post and Courier. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/08/20/woman-walking-dog-killed-when-alligator-attacks-drags-her-into-south-carolina-lagoon-police-say.html Edited August 20, 2018 by Still Waters Trimmed for length. Myles Posted August 20, 2018 Author #2 Share Posted August 20, 2018 I was surprised that it was only the 2nd recorded to die in an alligator attack in South Carolina history. Heck, would have guessed Indiana had at least 2 in its history. What a horrible way to go. 1
Guyver Posted August 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2018 Wow! That's right near the course they held a PGA tournament this year, and where they're hosting the championship next year. Fatal alligator attack is just not something I would have thought likely.

UFO_Monster Posted August 20, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2018 "McCullough said the woman was the second person to die from an alligator attack in South Carolina history." It doesn't make it any less tragic that this happened, but that's actually pretty good. And surprising
