UM-Bot Posted August 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2018 Despite being labelled by NASA as 'potentially hazardous', asteroid 2016 NF23 does not pose a threat. https://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/news/320922/pyramid-sized-asteroid-poses-no-risk-to-earth
pallidin Posted August 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2018 What scares me is that it is a solid fact that asteroids of significant size and influence have impacted our Earth in the past. Yes, it CAN happen again. This issue is globally life-threatening, so I truly hope that key governments address this issue on a level of "attack-mode", including sophisticated long-range sensor satellites, and at least some form of weaponized response. This kind of **** is no game. Get hit by a big asteroid and it's "game over" for 80% of the world.
pallidin Posted August 25, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2018 Yes, we MUST be prepared on some level. What that level is, I don't know.

Seti42 Posted August 26, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 26, 2018 It's always the hit you're not expecting that knocks you the **** out. Sometimes literally, sometimes figuratively.
