Woman burns down house during sofa exorcism

In a bizarre case, a woman burned down her house after trying to perform an exorcism on her sofa.

According to reports in The Sun, the 53-year-old JolYnn Winn was convinced that the devil had taken up residence in her settee.

Convinced, Winn decided to exorcise it.

This woman was quite clearly out of her depth.

A fully-qualified industry-certificated Furniture Priest would have removed the flammable batteries from the TV remote down the back of the couch.

But what if they were demon farts? That's why she should of called a professional.

I had to attend 4 classes and get a OSHA certificate to cleanse sofas.  Sofa exorcisms are like defusing IEDs. Anything can happen.

If she thought the devil was in her trailer, then why try to get rid of it with fire? I thought the devil loves a bit of fire.

Thing is, if you destroy it they will just posses a nearby piece of furniture, such as a recliner. Guy at the office found Baphomet in a love seat and someone two counties over found Yog-Sothoth in a credenza (he shut the door just in the nick of time.) Best thing is to just leave them be.

Doubt she would have had insurance too, or that it would cover a deliberately lit fire.
