Still Waters Posted August 30, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2018 It's just as well they don't bite or sting!
TruthandKnowledge Posted August 31, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2018 No idea why they call them Mosquito's. They're shad flies, or bay flies. Depending on where you are, they're usually called one of the two. Yes they look like giant mosquitos, but they aren't anything like them. They're annoying and can amass to the size of biblical plagues. 1
pallidin Posted September 1, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2018 Yeah. Huh. I could imagine that nearly any insect "swarm" cannot be healthy to the local ecosystem, nor to its human inhabitants or livestock, veggies and above-ground water sources. Must carry on their tiny bodies numerous nasties even if they don't "bite"
Alchopwn Posted March 7 #5 Share Posted March 7 I would prefer it if they bit or stung.
