I don't know what else to say to you other than it's perjury to lie to the FBI. It's the law - black and white - and you can Google it to confirm in seconds. Hell, Papadopoulos was just sentenced to prison for that exact charge. Flynn has also been charged with doing so. Martha Stuart was also convicted of perjury for lying to the FBI.

This is super technical but lieing to the FBI isnt perjury, it's still a felony but it's not perjury.

Perjury falls under 18 U.S. Code § 1621

Lieing to the FBI meanwhile is 18 U.S. Code § 1001

Both have similar penalties but they are still different laws and 18 U.S. Code § 1001, due to how broad it is, is generally used when the FBI wants you arrested/in trouble but cant find or prove anything else.

Are all these alleged victims of Kavanaugh democrats?

I can't say definitely all of them, but the first one is an anti-trump protester(photo evidence) and the second is a democrat.  I have no idea about the third or mysterious fourth the porn star lawyer has been gloating about before he shut down his twitter though.

The sleazebag lawyer who is now the face of the democrat party has refused to answer any of the judiciary committees questions.

Noted, but within this context it is a distinction without difference.

This is the worst bunch of victim shaming I've ever seen. This is disgusting. The fact that UM allows it is even more disgusting.

Literally no-one thinks that. Even the first is only considered assault if it's unwanted. Unless you think flashers are merely performing a public service?

It's like all the 4chan, Gamergate, r/the_donald nutjobs have suddenly become mainstream.

I honestly think that if the US was just the Republican Party it would pretty much be The Handmaid's Tale.

It is. This thread should be shut down. it's misogynistic and pathetic.

I've been on UM for 12 years, and have thousands of posts over the years.

I've actually learned something on UM over all those years and posts. People who believe conspiracy theories are sad. They believe them because they desperately need to feel special. To feel like they have information no one else has, that they are the outlier who knew it all along. They are lonely people who crave attention who desperately want to be recognized for figuring something out that no one else did. It never works out for them though. They just pick the next conspiracy to cling to hoping the next one will be the one they hit gold with. Sad.

I've never been banned from UM in all my years and posts on UM... maybe I will be now. I guess it wouldn't really matter... I really don't log on here very often anymore because of the rampant sexism and misogyny It's very 4Chan/Gamergate like.

He also said it never happened. I don't blame him for going into hiding. He was about to have his life ripped to shreds in front of the whole country.

And rightly so, if the allegations are true.

If only the Democrats had the decency to wait until they were known to be true before beginning the shredding.  What's been happing to Mr. Kavenaugh can't be undone.  All the people who sympathize with the trauma the alleged victims went through one night 40 years ago seem to not have the same consideration for what Mrs. Kavenaugh and her daughters are going through day after day.

Nope, my family has been in the USA since the 1700's and my great-grandfather is Choctaw. I'm more American than most. I vote in EVERY election. Always. I have helped register no fewer than 10 people in the last 3 months. I'm making calls for democratic candidate who isn't even in my district (luckily, my district has no republicans holding office in any position.) Unlike you, I might choose to run for an office in my city.

I don't care that you're discouraged. I hope you stay discouraged and anything I can do to help you remain discouraged would be my pleasure.

Well, this is politics.

If you accept a nomination such as this, expect your apple cart to get overturned.

Better have all your ducks in a row, and whatever other analogies I can throw in.

The Republicans have never done the same? (honest question)

Yes. True.

The republicans have done the same. Merrick Garland.

One good turn deserves another so I really don't care that Fienstein sat on the information. That doesn't make the information any less valid or credible, It just makes it valid ,credible, and used strategically.

They should have picked an actual golden boy for the Supreme Court. Not a drunk who mistreats women. Ironically, if they wanted to avoid all this they should have picked Amy Coney Barrett. I'm guessing she's an actual girl scout.... as deplorable as I find her moral positions, she probably would have made it through the process. But no, Trump wants a "ringer" who will have his back, which is wrong on ALL levels. The Federalists didn't pick Kavanaugh initially for their list because they KNEW he was flawed. Turtle Boy McConnell knew he was deeply flawed too. But dumb-dumb  Donnie insisted on a guy who would have his back. BIG mistake.

She was basically shot down too. It wouldn't have mattered who Trump picked.

Are you honestly comparing Garland and Kavanaugh.

So in your mind a guy who wasnt considered because of a past agreement between Democrats and Republicans not to appoint a supreme court justice during the final year of an out going president can be compared to a guy who is not only having his life destroyed by accusations with no evidence backing them, the evidence either goes against them or the story keeps changing, but also the lives of his family.

That is completely and utterly absurd and insane, how can you honestly have that much hatred for the other party to find those two things equal.

Don't care. I'm fine with the dems fighting for this seat. I have NO regrets. I will say it straight up.... I don't want a piece of crap abuser like Kavanaugh (who I believe is LYING through his teeth, I believe his accusers) protecting another piece of crap abuser and womanizer like Trump. I hate the Federalist Society, I hate anti-abortion and anti-birth control supporters, I hate Citizens United and all that ilk. I hate crazy 2nd amendment freaks (yet, still believe in the second amendment), I hate religious zealot christian fundamentalists, I hate classists, I hate racists, I hate those who want to rip health care from citizens or deny it to them, I hate climate and science deniers, I hate woo peddlers. I could go on, but pretty much everything republicans believe in ... I hate. At least I'm honest.

Right, because everyone he wanted is garbage. He could have picked a genuine centerist that wouldn't p*** off more than half the nation and more than 3/4 of all women in this country. But he didn't do that. So we fight for it. DUH. This isn't rocket science.

I hate most of the things you do too. I must admit, I've never seen you so hostile and judgmental without having all of the verifiable evidence available.

Would Obama have picked a centrist? Or Bush? Or Clinton?

why should El Trumpo be held to a standard no one else was?

Listen, if some prick raped me I may have kept silent, but I doubt it. I can understand Fords decades of silence though. But now, now if I chose to make a stand I’d be screaming to be heard, Id be at the police every day until they started an investigation. I’d be testifying everywhere. I’d be in every ****ing face I could be in in order to stop this.

I wouldn’t be umming and ahhing over when I might testify, I wouldn’t be categorically avoiding going on the record officially and making all sorts of legally binding statements.

this is why I don’t have a lot of faith in the faceless accusations.

If some ****er wants to kill me for speaking the truth? Well, if I lived in the Land ofvthe Brave and Home ofvthe Free like Ford and the others do there are these things called AR-15s and Castle Doctrine. Also “witness protection” is a thing.

It wasn't even rape. I can't remember every time a guy tried to cop a feel in middle or high school. I do remember the one time I broke a lamp over a guy's head. He never came anywhere close to me again. My male friends and everyone else in school was told about it and they were very wary of him from then on.
