:D Hold on while I spend any time listening to a guy with multiple sexual accusations made against him, for which he's spent millions trying to make go away and lost a lucrative career because they were undoubtedly true.

He wouldn't be any less credible if he was filming from a prison cell.

If Bill is guilty himself then perhaps his opinion would be even more appreciated.  As the old saying goes - "It takes one to know one."

I read UK news almost every day. I also read the threads here on Brexit. They get so nasty sometimes I wonder how they stay open.

Yes, the brexit debate can get heated and bitter. But you won't find every political (and some non political) issue in the UK divided between leavers and remainers.

That's a uniquely American way to live.

In the U.S. this is a relatively recent state of affairs. I'd say largely do to the Leftwings adoption of European attitudes.

If the FBI doesn't find anything significant.... It will be called FIXED by the left. I wonder how "professional" the FBI will be considered then, by the far left. And if they will be defending the FBI with as much fierceness as they did after Comey got fired?

And don't forget, the Democrats were all, Comey is a tool of Trump, after he had already exonerated Hillary but then came back and told everyone that classified material had been found on Anthony Wieners computer...after that, Comey was the devil...but then he gained sainthood again when Trump fired him.

In short...if you agree with the Democrats you are a Saint and if you disagree with them you are the Devil and must be destroyed.

So, aside from the predictable 'must blame the other side', you're saying adopting European attitudes is what's made you more divided than any European country. Interesting logic there.

Let me ask you a simple question. How many Europeans are "Constitutionalist" Conservatives?

Edit: Do you even know what that means?

Oh it absolutely does if you want to discuss U.S. politics. And it doesn't surprise me at ALL that you don't have any idea about this. Half of the U.S. identify as Conservatives and most of these including myself identify as "Constitutionalist" Conservatives.

Setton,

So would you like to tell me how I don't understand the Politics in my own Country?

Would you like to tell me that you understand the politics in the United States better than a United States Citizen? Because if you would like to do so, I'd say that's highly pompous, pretentious, and naive on your part.

Julie Swetnick, one of the women who has publicly accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct, has an extensive history of involvement in legal disputes, including a lawsuit in which an ex-employer accused her of falsifying her college and work history on her job application.

Legal documents from Maryland, Oregon and Florida provide a partial picture of a woman who stepped into the media glare amid the battle over Kavanaugh’s nomination for the nation’s highest court.

Court records reviewed by The Associated Press show Swetnick has been involved in at least six legal cases over the past 25 years. Along with the lawsuit filed by a former employer in November 2000, the cases include a personal injury suit she filed in 1994 against the Washington, D.C., regional transit authority.

It's starting to appear the FBI investigation demanded by the Dems, and agreed to by Trump, is going to blow up in the Dem's faces in a big, big way.

Word is spreading that the FBI will find false statements given by witnesses as well as evidence of a coordinated plan by Senate Democrats (Dianne Feinstein) to stage the coming forward of "new" accusers in order to maximize public impact via the news cycle and forestall Kavanaugh's confirmation until past the mid-term elections.

It is unbelievable how stupid and desperate these people are.  Feinstein is about to crash and burn...right along with any credibility the Dems might have had left.

They NEVER thought Trump would agree to an FBI investigation.  They are so freaking stupid!

I didn't say I don't know what a constitutionalist Conservative is, I said I don't know how many there are in Europe.

It's still irrelevant to the issue that your entire country is split into two halves on every major issue and all any of you can do is blame the other side.

At this point, rather than threatening another civil war, why not just split the country in half. Democrats can have the States they control, Republicans have theirs.

You're never going to get any better as long as anyone not in your party is 'the enemy'.

No, I'd LIKE to tell you you're the kind of person that is speeding up your country's decline. But I was hoping you'd be able to see that for yourself.

NOT because of your political views but because you refuse to consider compromise with people you disagree with. They are just 'the left' and therefore your enemy with nothing to offer.

He’s the kind of person trying to put on the breaks to keep this country from decline.  Trying to keep it out of the ditch.  Unfortunately, compromise is all Conservatives have done and every time we compromise with Socialists, we get screwed over.  Flake’s actions are just the most resent example.  The time for considering compromise is long past.  Where do Conservatives make the final stand to protect the Constitution?  When do they learn that there is no compromise with Socialism?  Socialism is insidious in how it attacks the newest generations offering lies that the youth are simply unaware of how too good the story sounds.  That’s why it has controlled Academia and tries to destroy the nuclear family.  Socialists and Socialism have nothing to offer.  That is why the Founding Fathers had replaced the age old concept.  As far as the Constitution goes, there is no going backward.

I've seen you mentioned that in the poll thread. Lol. Damn, SWoH, are you letting and then have some kind of influence on you. I'm afraid you're in for a real disappointment on that no matter what happens. It's all just political drama for our mamas. Everybody eventually gets over it and moves on to the next p***ing match.

You could be right but if you are, that means we've reached the point that the great majority are no longer willing to actually fight to be free of a government that is openly, obviously corrupt.  If we simply shrug and allow what happened under Obam's presidency to stand and be normalized then imagine what the next Prog government will do.  I think you mistake these events with being the same old, same old.  I don't and I don't see our government being able to fix itself from within any longer.  It's time for a new paradigm where dealing with this government is concerned.  It doesn't have to be violent unless they throw out the Constitution and try to rule over us without its protections.  That will be their choice.

1. Socialism is not 'age old'. It arose from the 19th century paternalist movement as the shocking idea that people didn't deserve to die just for being poor.

2. You're even worse.

People just do not believe the deep state is real. These are people whether in power or out of power, yet still powerful in their own right trying to unseat Trump's Presidency. Several Congressman have said "it is real."

But the common Joe knows better than the people in government who say "it is real." Must be a conspiracy theory.

I didn't until Trump's election.  I also didn't grasp the absolute corruption and bias of the media before then.  It's all out in the open now and we either find a way to change it civilly, get ready to use force, or get ready to accept open tyranny.  If they get away with this, there will be no stopping them when the next prog is sworn in.

No no, Ford is not a CIA Agent. She only runs their program over at Stanford, in charge of screening people who want to join the CIA.

So, no possible connection with the CIA, she just works for them.

Then again, maybe they are the ones that taught an accomplished  51 year-old woman to sound as if she is still a 15 year-old girl while giving testimony.

That upwards lilt at the end of every sentence was kinda creepy...

My husband walked in the door from work, had no idea what I was watching and said. "Who's that? Sounds like she's fake crying."

I think the use of that expression was a rhetorical device.  Arguing about the history of Socialism is pointless but other than the Scandinavian countries, where the population was homogeneous and limited, can you name any other major success story for Socialism?  The ideals that they espouse are wonderful.  The reality of placing a few in power over the lives and fortunes of the many never works.  It leads to situations like Venezuela.  Did you know that Venezuela sits on more oil reserves than SA?  I only recently became aware of that.  If a Socialist government was as committed to the welfare of its citizenry as you imply, then the people there should well-fed, housed, educated...   Instead, they are literally starving, in many instances.  As to dying just for being poor, most of those in this country die from life choices made due to ignorance.  All Socialism does is promise prosperity when everyone works together but in reality, it means the wealth of producers gets confiscated and redistributed by a feckless government system that takes the greatest portion for itself.  The effect is to drive wealth away.  Then, everyone is equal in their poverty.

Well it's just that people have been predicting Civil War (again and again) since the last one in the 1860's and we've really never seen one like that happen after all these years. Now I use think like you do now, and then, especially when Obama got into office, and I thought there would be one not long after he got into office, but nothing much happened, except for a few assassination attempts if you want to count that.

But also, there was the other time when Clinton passed the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons ban and I thought for sure that was going to cause a civil war among us, but that turned out to have loopholes and people just didn't seem to care because of those loopholes I guess. If any one time I definitely thought that was going to do it. But nope! Didn't happen.

Speaking about that, I will agree with you about one thing though, if there ever happens to be an all out total gun confiscation in this country, then I totally agree with you on that one, there will be a civil war or a insurrection if anything. Yet now, I don't even see that happening because gun manufactures have got there influence on government officials and I think that is what happened in 1994 and why they created those loopholes with that law to sorta help gun manufactures and consumers get around that law, and then the slick b******* made it only for 10 years! Lol. Because why? Well because IMO, money talks and everything else walks in this country.

The only thing new about Socialism is the term.  It has been around since the first kings sat on the throne.  It replaced Monarchy without the monarch.  It’s too difficult to constantly use harsh terms like Oligarchy, Totalitarianism, or Authoritarianism.  And it is too confusing to use terms like Communism, Marxism, Nazism, Fascism, or Democracy.  Even since then, Progressivism has become the newer term, but Socialism seems to capture the essence of the concept.  There have been moments throughout history where Man has tried to shed the stigma of Socialism but it was never sustained or it had become diluted.  Our Constitutional Republic has the chance to be self-sustainable and non-diluted, but we have to be willing to fight for it.

2. You're even worse.

I’m fine with you trying to insult me but I wish you could expand on that.  I.e. like how am I?

I have been busy with other things over the weekend but has anyone come forward and backed up Ford's story?  How about the person who drove her home, have they come forward?   How about the gang-rape parties the other tool said was going on, has anyine said they were at one of these parties?  If the FBI can't find anyone to corroborate these gang rape parties can the woman be arrested fir making false rape allegations?

The female prosecutor has stated there are inconsistencies in her statements. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/sex-crimes-prosecutor-used-at-hearing-says-claims-from-ford-against-kavanaugh-lack-sufficient-evidence-2018-10-01?link=MW_latest_news
