You're saying this in a thread about Trump's own staff sabotaging/betraying him?

How is it that they magically turn into Democrats and liberals when Trump is the one that selects them?

So you think Trump is an alien that subverted the Republican party to win the presidency, then picks the "best and brightest", and then converts them into liberals once he has them trapped at the White House?  Seems legit.

No no NO. Trump is a businessman. The White House, however, has a Basement in which The Illuminati have their DeBraining Machine that converts normal, healthy republicans into raving zombie Lefties !

So now we are on to "Trump is like Hitler" crap.   This is just dumb.    If you look for comparisons, you could find them with anyone.   Obama had dark hair so he exhibited traits like Hitler.   Obama pushed for stronger gun control just like Hitler!

What a joke.

Trump is a loud mouth who needs to hire a social media filter.   However the country is doing pretty good.   He's kept the economic trend going up.   Everything hasn't crashed like was predicted by many on the left.   I actually thin he has done a decent job.

No one seriously compares Trump to Hitler and Mussolini because of his looks.

Though Trump does make exactly the same facial expressions Mussolini used to make.

Be it naturally or on purpose, it's no good news.

Sane people who do know basics about history are comparing Trump to Hitler and Mussolini because he is trying to follow their playbook. Complete with making pact with Russia, like Hitler did with Stalin. The difference is that Hitler was in no way subordinate to Stalin.

Trump's use of translated phrases from Nazi vocabulary is no coincidence. He obviously is trying to introduce Nazi practices to the US - starting with shutting the opposition up, but not ending with it.

Of course, it is true that other totalitarian regimes, that were not Nazi or fascist, were using the same methods, but besides not really being a particularly good news, since totalitarian is totalitarian and you're thus screwed, it's also very obvious that Trump (or the person/s that's coming up with these for Trump) is going for the Nazi style.

Fortunately, Trump is monumentally incompetent. Everything he touches turns to ****. Chaotic ****. Smeared now around the world. And 'the best people' that surround him are either equally destructive, some plain useless, now this letter from the OP should prove some are not braindead, but secretly horrified with the state of Trump's mind.

In Trump's Turd Reich, it was meant to be a sign of integrity.

*facepalm* (with tentacles too)

Patton wanted to end the WWII by beating Stalin back to Moscow.

So Trump is the exact opposite of Patton.

Patton would never kiss Stalin's ass, especially not in public, which is what Trump verbally did for Putin in Helsinki. It was so disgusting and demeaning it surprised me, and I was expecting Trump will act subordinate to Putin. Only I had no idea it was even possible to blame the US for 'bad relations' between US and Russia, in public, and then go back to US and remain the President.

Helsinki alone proved what Trump is. There's no doubt.

He probably has no choice, with all the debt and kompromat Russians hold him with.

But what the hell is with you, supporters?

Is listening to translated Nazi phrases really worth literally destroying your country?

Asking out of morbid curiosity, because you do deserve everything that will hit you as the consequence of this utter stupidity.

It's been off topic for the past several pages.  The conversation had turned to various comparisons of Trump and other historical figures.  This is my 2 cents, not a point by point dissertation.  You can dissect it or skip over it as you choose.

Another perspective is that he was simply trying to get people to appreciate the importance of community, history and humility.

It’s interesting how you have totally missed the crux of my reply.  There are always different perspectives, but ultimately only one can be right.  We had 8 years of Obama, long enough to know his character.  I voted against him twice, not because of the color of his skin but because of the content of his character.

He was never “simply trying”.  His intentions were to usurp the Constitution and establish a Socialist utopia via Fundamental Change.  I don’t think he would have expected it in his Presidency but certainly in his lifetime.  To be honored as the father of a new nation would have titillated his narcissism.  He could have cared less about what the people appreciated.  He wanted obedient serfs to stay on the plantation.  And now that his future utopia is in ruins, he lashes out.

The way you keep people on the plantation is to attack their self-esteem.  Telling them that they cannot get anywhere on their own (that they didn’t build it) is the tried and true method.  The Progressives have had over a hundred years of practice, first with slavery in the South and then poverty in the inner cities.  Now it’s time to subjugate the rest.  There’s this thing that the Progressives have incorrectly labeled ‘White Privilege’ (White Privilege does not exist.  It is a false dictum).  It is actually American Exceptionalism.  And the Progressives haven’t been able to defeat it.  They can only try to marginalize it.  American Exceptionalism is color blind and will not stand for the Progressive BS.  So for now, our Republic is safe and the thanks go to the voters that elected Trump.  Trump has taken on the slings and arrows of Progressivism in place of the American People and he does battle with the malignancy.  The thing is, he is more than capable of winning.

Obama had sprung some of the worst lies ever (“if you like your doctor…”).  He began dismantling the 2nd Amendment with his multitude of ammo ban executive orders.  And used his pen and phone to go around Congress.  He crammed Obamacare down our throats without giving adequate time for Congress to read the bill thoroughly.  And now the Progressives have the audacity to complain about Kavanaugh.  He weaponized the IRS, DHS, FBI, EPA, etc. against his opponents and the American people.  He instigated racial unrest with his stupid little comments.  He *IS* the most divisive President in the world.  He said (with that Il Duce head-bob) that Trump was just a symptom.  If that is the case, then he was the cause.  American Exceptionalism saw through it.

Agreed and Trump and his group of robber baron grifters just may be that evil which makes it fall.

You should have read the next few lines before commenting.  Then you wouldn’t look like a fool.

Trump is the swamp, albeit a slightly less articulate version.

No, but he does know the swamp.  He’s had to deal with it all his life.  And he is as frustrated.  And who better is capable of dealing with it?  Not everyone that is wealthy is part of the swamp.  You really need to try to grasp that fact.

Seriously, the only difference between Trump and the "elites" is his social awkwardness.

That’s why the people love him.  He relates to the common man.  It’s not phoniness like it was with Obama or Hilary.

He was born rich, given an empire to run and has been in the media spotlight for decades,

Sounds like you are just jealous.  He was given an inheritance and he built an empire.  Many children when they inherit a fortune squander it.  Trump didn’t.  Because Trump has been in the spotlight for decades, people know his character.  Most see his honesty.  I think I watched “The Apprentice” maybe twice(??).  There are very few Reality TV shows I watch.  It was enough to see his good character.  I understand that you don’t understand that.  You don’t have that skill.  That’s ok.  It helps the rest of us to understand your lackings.

he surrounded himself with people who are compromised by corporate and foreign interests and lies constantly.

That’s non-sequitur.  If they don’t perform, he gets rid of them.  @RoofGardener pointed out that he was like Patton.  Patton knew the importance of keeping the trains on time and the power going.  Lincoln also had no problem replacing people until he found someone that could do the job.  Those are two traits of a good leader (keeping what works and replacing what doesn’t).  I’m sure that initially bringing on swamp people was to garner support.  Trump seems to be one step ahead of everybody.

Might as well call him a Clinton.

Might as well not.

Man I want there to be somebody out there like your vision of Donald Trump, I really do, the facts just dont back up the hyperbole however. They havent for a while but as time goes by it just becomes more and more glaringly obvious.

You’ve made up the facts that you want.  I look at the man.  You get lost in the showmanship.  It’s not that you are looking for “my” vision of Trump.  You are looking for someone that fits your ideas of perfection, and that doesn’t exist.  It is glaringly obvious that as time goes by, what you thought proves you wrong.

Your video shows Mussolini and only in the last few seconds someone pasted cropped still photo of Obama in the place of Mussolini's head.

It's fraudulent and childish, unsurprisingly.

Don't tell me what I have to be. You are not the Boss of me.

Anyways, we have to compare. How else will we know the difference? Would Trump do to anyonr what Hitler did? We don't know. But people did not know what Adolf was going to do either. Those who voted for AH only cared about jobs, making Germany great again. Hitler had other thoughts in mind. Personal matters. Blaming the minorities, Jews, Romas, Homosexuals for the bad situation in Germany.

Trump is blaming Blacks, Mexicans and other minorities. All the same. That is what Dictators and wannabes do.

I am not saying that Trump is Hitler. No. But much of his rethoric is the same rethoric Hitler used. To compare is not idiotic but causios.

Thats such a cop out. There was no "mess" to sort out. The organizers, the planners, the planned speakers and the ones who applied for the application are all very well known racists. This was a racist event organized by racists and that was publicly available information.

A racist loony applied for the permit. Does that mean that everyone who attended upheld his views ? How about the various militia groups that attended ? (and stood apart from the violence except when they themselves where attacked). Are they all racist ? Where there NO "fine people" among their ranks ? Many of them carried assault rifles; where any bullets fired, despite the provocation ? No, there where not. Curious restraint for such debased vile thugs.

Yeah pretty much. If you march with racists , in a rally organized by racists , for the planned purpose of mainstreaming racist viewpoints you are trash and most definitely not very fine people.

Trump doesn’t blame black, Mexicans etc. and it’s disingenuous to say so. He blames people and especially criminals who cross the border illegally. I have no sympathy for people that enter illegally, I would never dream of entering a country illegally or once there breaking their laws. Please note entering illegally starts you off on the wrong foot by making the first thing you do illegal.

btw sorry for the idiot comment I meant that as a generalization and not a personal attack on you. My friend Helen also compares Trump with a notorious fascist but I don’t think she’s an idiot. Quite the opposite.

It wasn’t fraudulent, just presenting a different style of comparison.

Oh yeah, that’s a dead give away.  A typical rally that you find with any politician.  I guess every politician is Mussolini.  Probably not every politician.  I found this one:

I liked the tail end of the post.

"Criminals who cross the border illegally" are yes, by definition criminals. But how 'criminal' is the act when perpetrated by a single mother with a baby or a father trying to support five or six mouths back home.

You also said, "I would never dream of entering a country illegally" and yes, neither would I because I've never become that desperate.

But if that happened, I'd do the same damn thing and so might you.

That’s the definition of criminal.  It is breaking & entering and robbery at the very least.  Committing the first crime makes the subsequent ones easier.

And I would too, but being desperate does not absolve anyone from committing a crime.

So, we're pretty much in agreement then.

Except the first part. 'Breaking' what?, 'entering' sure... and what, 'robbing' someone of a low paid job?

I trust you enough to think that the 'subsequent' crimes would not involve rape and murder.

Crossing the border is breaking and entering.  That is an illegal act.  That’s why they are called illegals.

and what, 'robbing' someone of a low paid job?

Doesn’t matter if you think it is low paid or not.  It is still wealth being taken out of the country illegally and taking it from citizens.  Multiply that by 50 million and that’s not something to sneeze at.

I trust you enough to not think that the 'subsequent' crimes would not involve rape and murder.

Once a criminal has committed that first crime, there is no consideration of degree on the next one.  Desperation rules, not reason.  If a person had reason, they wouldn’t be here illegally in the first place.

It’s not impossible but the reality is the percentage of people that do that are extremely low. Most find another path. I’ve been down and out struggling to pay rent and buy food but I never begged or stole although those options existed. And the truth is anyone can go through the process of legally crossing and working here but I would wager the number of illegal crossers have never gone that route. And as far as laying a guilt trip about feeding their families, how stupid are the people that have 10 kids and no way to feed them. Other people’s poor choices should be their own problem not yours or mine. I don’t expect you to pay my bills and I won’t pay yours. It’s not that I’m not charitable or sympathetic but nations have laws and countries protect their borders and the USA shouldn’t be expected not to also do so or judged poorly for also doing so.
